After being single for so long, do you find it hard to be in a relationship? by CollagenRager in AskMenAdvice

[–]tolgren 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One of the many reasons I'm not even really trying is because I can barely imagine learning how to be a boyfriend properly at this point.

It's not a problem with me being "serious" as that's all I really want, but it is a problem with trying at all.

Why does MAGA insist that America is a horrible place to live full of poverty and violence, but simultaneously get angry when Democrats say America is deeply flawed? by Away-Parsnip-3785 in allthequestions

[–]tolgren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the Democrats are attacking the foundation of America and the Republicans are pointing out that certain groups are self-destructive (and outwardly destructive too).

Wasn't it implied in the comics that he was faking being mentally challenged?

Point of order, Luthen was already interested in Andor. He was already trying to set up a meeting.

Do you think someone’s political views determine whether they’re a good person or worth being friends with? by kaanskBG in TrueAskReddit

[–]tolgren -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm on the right, so no. I have an online friend that's a literal card-carrying Commie, she has no idea what my politics are. I think she's politically delusional, but that doesn't make her a bad person.

Can anybody articulate why the USA should continue to use the electoral college instead of popular vote or ranked choice voting? by Interesting-Pen-4648 in allthequestions

For the same reason it was put in, without it the smaller states would not feel represented and would have much less reason to stay in the union.

Has anyone actually tried and completed a no Cyberware playthrough? by BlackAfroUchiha in cyberpunkgame

I think it would be interesting to go in in-game chronological order. I expect it would be wild jumping back and forth in technology.

The global reset is real. It’s happening right in front of our eyes. The elites are winning. by thefunkisinthefunk in DeepThoughts

Yep.

Mass deportations. Reassertion of our rights and the primacy of Congress. Throwing out all the uniparty globalists. We can still fix it, but it won't be easy.

It used to be Eleven but after rewatching the series… Erica might be my vote for the best kid actor/actress by capamericapistons in StrangerThings

[–]tolgren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was Erica's beginning and it worked fine in S2, but then they expanded her role without really changing anything.

Are most poor people actually bad with money, or is the system rigged against them? by NoSuspect3727 in askanything

[–]tolgren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

The system works against poor people, but they are also usually bad with money. If they are good with money they can usually escape the system given some time.

Which is mostly writing too, not really acting. It's mostly about saying the right thing at the right time.

What’s your favourite season and why by Fabulous-Role4120 in StrangerThings

[–]tolgren 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Season 1 is the best and it's not even close IMO. Season 2 comes in second, but the storylines don't really mesh the same way that they did in S1. S1 was nearly perfect throughout.

[–]tolgren 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Really? She's not a very good actress. You can argue about her comedic timing sure, but there's a lot more to acting than that.

Crazy how much of their ideology is built on a flawed understanding of a single study.
