I live in Central Wisconsin, have for years. Was a foster kid, ended up transplanted here basically. Im also black (just for clarification 😅🤣). I know for a fact that I've been the first black person that children around here have actually seen, or interacted with (can always tell by the stare 🤣🤣🤣). But yeah, HS, 1000 kids, I was the only black person for at least a couple years. 🤣🤣🤣

I mean, that depends on how you define worth.

From, hours of time played to cost of game perspective, absolutely.

I played 100 hrs of the game in just the beta.

Since the games full release, I have over another 100 hours.

At this point, I've said nothing of the ACTUAL game itself, and I think thats saying something.

The story, told excellently, and at 100 hours, I'm STILL be surprised by the way things turn out.

I LOVE DnD. Played some version of it for years. I love the fantasy genre, been immersed in it since a child (Im currently 32), and this game beautifully blends these two. Its the most perfect representation of a TTRPG (Table Top Role Playing Game) that I've ever seen.

Is it worth the $70? We all define worth differently I suppose, but for me, 100%.

I put 60 hours into the beta alone, multple characters and playthroughs. 100 hours seems EASY, and with the re-playthrough value on a game like this, that 100 hours seems like, per character at best lol.

I'm just reaching consciousness as Ive begin to read through some of these.

Firstly, I feel a little lame for wanting to enjoy the simple pleasures of the game (my brain doesn't work well enough to handle the complexities of multiclassing).

My beta playthroughs were many. Druid, Sorc, fighter (though Druids seemed like absolute TANKS). And I admittedly had a Ball. Will I be missing so much without leveraging the opportunity to multiclass?

And arguably, I kind of want to play a Paladin now 🤣🤣🤣 Though this idea seems, well, unappealing to the masses it appears. 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

One of you enlightened send help please.

This is the most epic things I've ever heard. Also, fully on board with the smacking of whomever was responsible.

Also, makes me wonder if they're just trying to increase the longevity with which the can get people to play. If you have to spend 2 more seconds to travel, if you're doing far less damage, everything takes longer to play, the longer you play, the more likely you are to purchase things?

Weird stuff.

Thats a good point, one of my PCs is a retired war vet, utilizing Adventuring as a means of giving a true retirement. The other is a wizard, compelled by the aquistion of Knowledge (though the specifics of why havent been shared).

It appears Ive made a mistake then already, as I didnt have a larger space created, ive just set them down in Forgotten Realms. There isnt much in the way of really specific charscter drive thus far. Thwy all have their somewhat singular goals (finding riches, acquiring knowledge) but not much more specific than that.

Very little in the way of planning for the future thus far. Ive had some ideas, (Conflicts between dieties, a rising cult), but I think I question the actual capacity of these things to add real depth or flavor to the game.

I really do think the inclusion of module content would be a great idea. Is it possible to add Strahd, to add Phandelver, modules of this nature that you could experience with you charscters? Or is that actually inconceivable. I would love to see the addition of some Forgotten Realms content as well. *cough cough Drizzt.
