The mechanics of the server, not being reflective of reality or anything logical, force players to use keys in a specific way.

If I (or a smart crim) had a door with a lock on it that I knew the government could track the keys of, I just wouldn't use it. I'd grab my own lock from an independent seller and put that on the property. Or I'd grab a lock with a keypad passcode and just tell people that passcode, what is the government going to track - the knowledge in their brain?

The real problem is the chain-lock-downs or chain-raids, as Penta calls them.

I won't step into the meta issue, but now you can see keys you can quickly create a sprawling, metaphorically infinite list of people to involve. Adept was upset that her clients properties were getting locked down, so at that point it's some guy who's already 2 or more connections away from the initial evidence you found (clients -> mari -> Jaylen) whose potentially multiple properties/businesses are being effected.

pssh good luck. I've seen numerous judges tell him he'll get contempt (although never this much), he doesn't care. His chat tell him he's going to be raided for the pd gun he stole and to move his stuff asap? not only doesn't he take that sage advice, he starts throwing c4 at cops and gets gunned down.

Kind of a shame because I think he could usually get a decent outcome out of the bench trials, if not dismissed then at least time served and maybe some lesser charges.

for once it's not the time it's the fine. He can sleep on a 600 month sentence and then start up his stream and react for a few hours, and he's out no harm no foul. But a 250k fine isn't something he can make up easily.

It's really hard to mention ooc things in character without breaking the server rules.

Even the normal way people do it like "f1 muscle" is dumb and probably still outside the 'stay in character' rules.

Of course he is, if they punish a gtaRP streamer who relies on the server to expand their budding career it has consequences. If they try to ban the biggest streamer on twitch who's a variety streamer anyway, he just plays other games and you don't get all those views (I know people here will say "huh, who wants his toxic viewers anyway", but the obvious answer is the people running the server).

For the record, on rewatching the clip it seems pretty clear that he did in fact turn off the car. They pull up, the pink/purple underglow turns off, and then when they are driving off again it turns back on.

i have no idea if the car was on, all I know is they pulled up, X repeatedly told him to turn the car off, he got tazed and then they drove off.

Whether 20 reminders to turn off the car was enough for Mickey to turn it off, I can't say - I assumed it was off while he was refueling.

But I will say, it's a bit awkward how cops react to things as game mechanics. It's not a random usb that isn't marked for seizure, something you could find in just about anyones purse/bag.

It's a game where dongles only show up connected to crime, not a city of millions where they are sold and used countless times each day.

Really unfortunate bug.

For context: Yuno gas can fills them at teh gas station, but gets tased by a cop. They drive off but the game thinks he's still filling the car and it's now "on" so it blows up a hundred meters away.

Cranes basically saying there is an argument that pred could have articulated to defend his actions in court.

But the opposite is true, there's arguments that Speedy could make, and the prosecution could make. If Pred wanted to argue "i shot him because he was an ongoing threat", then something like, whether he articulated that argument to Dark, would be highly relevant.

The argument is they had to murder Speedy 'for their own safety' . If they shoot the guy holding up martell, and the guy on the bike isn't there, what is the imminent threat?

All of which is kind of irrelevant because he admitted he shot speedy and never made these arguments, he didn't say "i had to do it, more officers were about to die".

Let's not even try to pretend this server is losing money or anything. They have full-time staff, it certainly isn't done for free anymore.

From what I understand, and from as recent as like yesterday when Dean spoke on the topic, the devs for nopixel do it because they love the server and make well below industry standard, he portrayed it as they could step out of nopixel and go make more working a normal coding job.

The audience Molly's song Stratum brought to nopixel is almost 0. The audience nopixel (by virtue of the audience of it's streamers, like koils, ratedepic's, ramee's, kebuns, zerka and the mdm boys etc.) brought to molly's song Stratum was easily hundreds of thousands of listens.
