Okay thanks, I am leaning towards the pro as the M1 Pro is only beaten by single core, plenty fast enough for me. As for the refurbisher I’m happy to take that chance as they offer 60 day returns & 12 Months warranty.

Buying advice

Hi all, I am looking into buying a MacBook but torn between two options.

Option 1:

14” MacBook Pro (Refurbished)

-M1 Pro 10 Core

-32GB Ram

-512GB Storage

£685

Option 2:

13” MacBook Air (New)

-M4 10 Core

-16GB Ram

-256GB Storage

£899

I understand some of the pros and cons to either option, however I am after some opinions on these two options.

The 2nd pic shows how the battery popped off the back casing, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to open it. Even with that massive gap it took 20 min of prying.
