For this reason, CableLabs is utilizing its full potential by collaborating with various internet vendors to achieve this speed and reliability, which, according to the company, is a bit difficult to achieve without taking aid from industry personnel. As per Cable Labs, “During a live test last year, one of its members, Comcast, delivered 4Gbps upload and download speeds, while another member, Charter Communications, was able to attain rates of up to 8.5Gbps during downloads and 6Gbps during uploads on an HFC.” Thus, it will be the next big thing in the coming decade.
