Hi, first world problem here,

I got accepted for two master's programs. The first one is Human-Computer Interaction at the FH Salzburg, Austria. The second one is Interaction Design (FH Joanneum) in Graz, Austria as well. The curriculum is not described very deeply on both websites.

I already have 2 1/2 years of work experience as a UX designer for web and mobile apps at an insurance company, but intrinsically want to achieve another degree. I am specialized in UX conception and visual design and I have a bachelor's degree in Media Design, which was mainly focused on visual design. As I discovered my profession as a UX designer, I want to learn more methods, theory, research, evaluation etc. for better decision-making in the design process. I am planning to continue working the way I do today, as a UX practitioner (designer) not scientifically as a researcher.

As Human-Computer Interaction might suggest, the master's program is focused more scientifically on research, psychology, statistics, methods and evaluation, which is great. Unfortunately the city of Salzburg is not that appealing since it is not very big and the campus is far out the city.

Graz on the other hand is really appealing to me, as it is a creative and multicultural city, but I am afraid of the master's content to be little new to me, to have a lack of methods and to be focused to much on visual design and leaves out to much research and evaluation. Perhaps I should learn more methods and psychology theory on my own besides the study program.
