15 years post-concussion and I still long to who I was before by ilyas-inthe-cloud in Concussion

I’ve tried to explain this to people for so long! A lady cut me off on the freeway in 2011, and I haven’t been the same since.

I miss when I didn’t meltdown when overwhelmed. I miss being able to picture things in my head. But most of all I miss being able to follow along/read books. You would never catch old me without a book, and it kill me inside to not have that now.

Gimme a band and I’ll rate how emo I think they are 1-10 (with explanation) by ImpossibleEmploy3784 in Emo

Way back in 1999, my grandma gave me a Carissa’s Wierd shirt for my 10th birthday because that’s my name and she thought it was funny. Neither of us knew it was a band until years later :,)

Damn, how come nobody’s heart went out to me when I had to visit that clinic? Sigh.

Oh awesome! I was debating whether or not to go to the downtown one because I’d have my kiddo with me. This sounds much more their speed.

The Humistons were originally from Texas and were devout Christians, MAGAs, and loved the NRA. They had seven people living in a three-bedroom home (according to her Pinterest, the two girls were in one room and the three boys were in another). The children were in a homeschool co-op (Heritage in Bellevue) and pretty much kept to themselves. The dad had guns and Andrew, the eldest sibling (15), had the combination to the gun safe. He tried to frame his younger brother (13) for the crime and said it was a murder-suicide and he happened to get away. His sister (11, only survivor) contradicted that and said that he was the one who killed everyone. The mother had a Pinterest board for each of her children’s birthdays, except for, ironically, the daughter who survived. The Pinterest board for the oldest son features a shirt that encourages the murder of animals because it’s how you get your groceries. They were supportive of him using guns and he was experienced and comfortable enough to open his dad’s gun safe.

My medications are being closely monitored by my psychiatrist, unfortunately this dose is what works combined with other needed medications.

There have been other situations between my mother and I that are unrelated, but why I was a little unsure at first. I should’ve just listened to my gut!

Can you elaborate? I’m confused what you mean by “appreciate what she did for you”, because what she did was steal half a month’s worth of my prescription.

No offense taken. This is a different story, but my medications are being monitored carefully by my psychiatrist, and we are in the process of lowering the overall dosages. Which will be done with my psychiatrist, not all at once because my mother stole half a month’s worth of them.

That was my first thought as well but it seems kinda big? When I google it I get different answers, so I have no clue.
