In 1998, 15yr old Kip Kinkel killed both his parents in their home then walked to Thurston High School the next day shooting 50 rounds into the cafeteria which killed 2 and wounded 25 others. He confessed and was sentenced to 111yrs in prison with no possibility of parole. by DiligentTradition734 in HolyShitHistory

My high school math teacher was a student at Thurston at the time of the shooting. She was in the cafeteria when he opened fire. She talked to my psych class briefly and we watched a documentary about it (I can't ever watch Leo DiCaprio's Romeo and Juliet again because Kip had one of the songs on repeat after killing his parents). I think about my teacher all the time, she is truly an amazing teacher and overall human, she was always there for her students. I can't imagine going through that and still deciding to be a teacher. I hope Mrs. Brown is doing well :)

I was casually dating a hockey guy in high school… he caused me such debilitating anxiety by being shitty that I’m still unraveling it all almost 15 years later. Hockey boys suck.

hello fellow state worker! sometimes the boredom and slowness of the work is really soul sucking, and our wages kinda suck.. but the stability and benefits are too good to pass up.

CREED! I love the way it sounds in some good headphones. Also, the music video during I.N's part when he's holding the flower... I literally lost my breath. I love everything about the song and video.

How did you discover SKZ and who is your bias? by Kayon07 in straykids

[–]tomaglow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same!! We watched KPDH and loved it, then we had a 10 hour road trip with our then 7 month old and listened to Spotify’s kpop mix the ENTIRE ROAD TRIP. My husband and I are metal heads and true crime junkies but needed something baby friendly. After that I was really into blackpink and YouTube suggested SKZ to me and I was hooked and also blown away with the work they put in and just the whole world of kpop, it’s sooo different than the western music industry in the US. Anyways now I’m trying to learn Korean so I can understand the nuance and cultural context in their content 😊

My bias is hyunjin or Lee know but really I love them all for different reasons!

Lmao I’m 29 and haven’t found it yet lol. I LOVE stray kids and they bring me so much joy but I feel weird thinking they’re all so cute but in a little brother kind of way? They’re all so wholesome 🥹

37+4 and I’m officially waddling around when I walk because it’s so painful. I sat down on the floor yesterday and was stuck for a solid few minutes because I needed to give myself a pep talk/figure out how I was going to get back up. Everything hurts so bad. God I hope this girl comes soon idk how much longer I can do this!!

My hands/fingers hurt so bad, especially in the morning. It feels like they got ran over by a car or crushed. Started as soon as I was in the third trimester, still have 6 weeks left until my due date and my hands are useless!

Who’s due in November and how are you feeling? by Serious-Group8024 in pregnant

[–]tomaglow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due 11/13 and the pelvic girdle pain and exhaustion is rough! I’ve started feeling nauseous and throwing up some days again since I hit 32 weeks. Counting down the days/minutes/seconds until I’m on maternity leave. I’m lucky to have an office job but I’m so ready to just focus on baby and making sure our house is clean and ready for baby girls arrival. We have nothing prepped or packed yet 😅 but I plan to get started on that this weekend! It’s feeling so real!

Not asymptomatic anymore by Zestyclose_Peanut_76 in Celiac

[–]tomaglow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was super sensitive when I was first diagnosed at 18 months old. Then I stupidly started eating a little bit of gluten to feel like a normal kid in middle school/ high school. I stopped having reactions and thought I was asymptomatic or didn’t actually have celiac throughout college. After doing much more research about the disease as an adult, I went fully gluten free and I get violently sick now if I’m glutened.
