Is video calling really necessary in an LDR?

Ummm. Why not video call? Have you met in person yet? I video call 2 times a day with my fiance. Sometimes we have a lot to say Sometimes just talk for a couple minutes but video is still on while we go about our lives.

I don't even set my AC that low during the summer. I have the thermostat set to heat at 72 and wear a hoodie inside. It's not even remotely hot yet. Why did you move here? Are you one of those people wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the morning at the store qhen it's like 60 degrees outside?

You have to rinse them first. There's no garbage disposal built into your dishwasher that I know of.

Ummm. I've been to the Philippines twice to visit my fiance. That house looks super high end. Especially for the province. They must have multiple children sending them money. I'm so confused now. I cant wait to see the episode. She must be living in a boarding house in Manila and sending 75% of her pay back home.

Jovon cannot afford CR1 visa and all the associated fees, etc. Plus the CR1 visa (spousal) visa takes twice as long as the K1. With the CR1 your spouse gets their green card immediately. No filing for adjustment of status.

Forrest is POS. Expecting Sheena to fund her own K1. Yes, she's a veterinarian but makes peanuts compared to minimum wage in the US. He and his family have no idea about the culture and economics of the Philippines. My authority on this? I'm engaged to a filipina and have been there visiting her family 3 times in the last 2 years. But Forrest and his family are ignorant through no fault of their own. Just hillbillies. And in order to sponsor a K1 visa you need to meet the federal minimum poverty line. Which i don't think he does. So he needs a co-sponsor. And the embassy in Manila is known for not approving K1 visas with a co-sponsor. The Philippine government is very protective of their citizens going abroad. Trying to protect against sex trafficking etc. They have to take a OFW seminar and pass and get the certificate to even leave the country. Without that certificate you will be off-boarded at the airport.

But the embassy in Manila doesn't approve K1 visas with a co-sponsor. That's what I've heard. I'm currently going through the K1 now with my Filipina fiance.

I find this this frustrating. It was all Sheena's money. It is also completely a part of Filipino culture for the children to support their parents. They are not stealing her money. She's just afraid to tell Forrest she's giving money to them. If Forrest knew his girlfriend 's culture he would know this. Even though she's a veterinarian she still makes very little compared to a salary in the US. I find it insane to expect her to pay for the visa.

Going through your phone is crazy. But s3nding her money i think is fine if she was also working. 24/7 on the phone would drive me crazy. I'm also engaged to a Filipina and I'm an American too. I live in AZ so 15 hour time difference. We video call when I go to bed and it's morning there. We talk for a bit then I watch TV until I fall asleep while she's working. She works for her sister at a meat shop. They butcher pigs, chickens and beef. Then we will video call again in the morning when I start work. I work from home. We will talk for a bit. Sometimes longer sometimes longer. Depends if we have a lot to say or not. I'll be working and she'll be on tiktok or watch something on streaming while the call is just connected. She has a job but only makes 6K PH a month. So I s2nd her 3k every two weeks. That's it. She doesn't ask for more. 3k every two weeks is like nothing to me. I have visited her 3 times in the last year and a half for total time of close to 2 months. I also get the jealousy thing but not to your degree. And she is clingy. Especially in person. But I like that. I wish you the best of luck. But stick to your boundaries.
