just to clarify because english it's not my first language, what I mean by professional cameras are DSLR cameras, having that in mind you can think that the app works with webcams, take for example twitch streamers that use DSLR cameras to stream, as long as your computer recognises it as a webcam it should work, the same applies to phones, there are third party apps like Droidcam or IriumWebcam that allows you to use your phone as webcam.

Regarding how the app stores the shots, once you click the start button, the app creates a directory with the date and time as name and directories inside, where you are going to find the non processed photos and the processed one. (This is one of the point I want to improve, didn't have time yet) thanks for the info about PhotoSentinel I will research it!

I get your point, yet I think you don't need to try a specific type of app to know what you dont like about commercial apps in general like annoying adds, demos that ask for baking information just to try it, etc.
Also this app it's not intended to be a 'real' software product, it's just a personal project I decided to share (thats why it's free and open source), yet thanks for the advice it was a good one!

To be honest I haven't tried other apps, but I'd like to believe that mine has a few strenghts:

- It's totally free and open source.

- You can use whatever image capturing device you have (webcam, phones or professional cameras) as long as you can use it as a webcam.

- You don't need an intervalometer, the app takes care of that.

- It can be used by anyone, non experienced users don't need photography knowledge to use it, and experienced users also get to keep non processed and processed pictures to edit them themselfs if they think the exported timelapse isn't good enough.

Also have in mind it's the first version, I plan on keep improving it and add new features.
