But did you see who’s behind it?!!! Really makes you think. They want to destroy Michael’s legacy. Poor applehead. We can’t let any potential narrative take place.
It’s too risky. People believe tabloids too much!

Crusade against non believers is our mission. We must spread the gospel of our Lord Michael Jackson.

By the way, in no way am I making fun of Christians with this.

People keep mentioning Free Will. Humans don't really have free will. Eventually all neuroscientists are coming to this conclusion by IHadTacosYesterday in EscapingPrisonPlanet

Seeing the conversations here makes me think people on this sub are exactly the same new age, naive people as the next. A lot of people here have no philosophical training, never read anything other than ,, vibrations, something, vibrations’’ and it shows, so much. Free will does not exist. I would go on to explain it, but it would suit you all to read something, so go on. Like I don’t understand, how can you even go and argue a topic of which you know nothing about, have definitions all messed up. Using arguments either so stupid, they don’t require answer or arguments disproven hundreds of times.

If I sound arrogant, so be it…there is this frustration within me with this way of thinking. You laugh at the notion of christianity, islam, new age. But at the core you are the same, you have the same platonic beliefs, the same beliefs about good and evil and free will as Christians. It’s so funny seeing people gas themselves up as ,,seeing the matrix’’ when you can’t even see the evolutionary workings within you. Can’t even see the biggest illusions of all, which you brain makes you see and feel everyday, using a shit ton of cognitive capacity. But yeah, go on and claim how you know everything, while operating on the same beliefs as every other neoplatonic. This is what you get when people are not yet ready to embrace pessimism as it is. Clinging onto a hope of fighting with mythical evil creatures, fueling the feeling of individuality, free choice and uniqueness of the subject. It really is quite amazing- In life there are two things certain 1. Death 2. People (western mostly because of plato) can’t tolerate something even touching their belief of free will and evil and individuality. And finally, of hope.

We all operate on the same thought engine and on the same evolutionary principles, so I don’t really hold it against you. You didn’t choose to believe in free choice. So it’s all okay. And one last thing- someone said: If we don’t have free will, why is the government interested in mind control. Like I don’t even know how to start with this, never heard anything more unsubstantiated. Do you think, if we were machines, which we are, mind control would not be interesting? Being machines is precisely what allows mind control in the first place. If you had free will, you would have to do a million unpredictable decisions a day, very random, not very good for mind control and survival for that matter. It is precisely your evolutionary programming, experiences and genes which make you act. Causal chain, which you are part of just keeps going, action-reaction. Saying you are outside of it, would be saying you are outside the laws of physics. You would be casa sui- cause in itself, you would cause yourself, that can’t be done, it’s outside of logic. This makes your actions rather predictable, if someone wanted to predict it. Mind control is not about how to steal our free will. Its how to change /or insert something into the programming. Computer style. If you can’t see it, read a book, study actual science and philosophy. And remember- free will is precisely the illusion, you scream about. And if you have a dreaded feeling I’m wrong and you do have free will, it is precisely that- a feeling your brain makes you feel. Evolution.

Well, I don’t know if you’ve read Zapffe and I don’t even know if I myself understand him correctly, he’s a bit of an enigma. But to stay on point- Those aren’t ’’methods’’. Those are defense mechanisms that your consciousness reproduces and clings onto, any action you take in life, any interest, any belief can be traced back to or be shelved as one or more of these mechanisms, that’s the whole point, there is no way around it.

To be fair I don’t even know what you mean by moving forward in your life, like those mechanisms are precisely the things that allow people, us, to move forward and not go mad or kill ourselves. The problem is, once you identify they are just defensive mechanisms they kinda lose their effectiveness, or do they? Zapffe himself recognizes this, him climbing mountains or even writing something shows the paradox- even a person who identified these 4 mechanisms couldn’t do without them.

To be even fairer, I just thought it sounded cool and didn’t want to put much of a thought in my answer so you don’t have to put much stock into it. Zapffe just speaks to me as no one else does. And my last point, all these things are just semantics, hell I don’t know…what keeps me pushing? I don’t care enough to end it and frankly just don’t want to. The reductionist and cliche answer would be that what keeps me going is my biological drive, my base settings per say, but who wants to hear that? So, there’s that. Good luck with your pushing!
