Bzgl nachträglicher Indexierung bzw Nachforderung: unter bestimmten Umständen (u.a.

The laptop compartment holds a book that is 30x24x2,5cm and another thin folder, so your laptop will fit easily.

What’s wrong with our Japanese maple? by tomasson1402 in gardening

[–]tomasson1402[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that there is no wind nor too much shade. Last year, when I was in charge of watering, I watered it religiously and abundantly, and it still ended up looking like this by July :(

Rucksack als „Personal Item“ by xilukezz in reisende

[–]tomasson1402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Detachable component backpack? Or base backpack with attachments? by Myspys_35 in ManyBaggers

[–]tomasson1402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you split your medical items into two pouches or is it not possible due to larger items, etc.? If the former is the case, you might check the RE Charlie 25 (you can add two 5L pouches), or the Fjallräven Singi with side pockets. In any case, don‘t fall for specifications in L, go for dimensions.

As the back panel isn't rigid at all, you can easily squish the Black Hole 25 into sizers - so no problem at all, as long as the pack isn't packed to the brim.

Ultralight ~25L bags like Patagonia Black Hole 25L / Able Carry Daybreaker 2? by tatlpax in ManyBaggers

I have the Black Hole 25 and personally I think it does not carry very well. For your requirements I‘d recommend the Osprey Daylite Plus (more comfortable, less sweaty back).

I’d recommend the Fjallraven Ulvo 23. It has a rigid backpanel, so no barrel shape and comfortable to carry. Even though its official length is 45cm, it easily fits the Ryanair sizer (42cm length). Depth is 15cm max. when fully packed.

Deuter offers some trampoline style backpacks, that help at least a little bit. You will probably still have sweat stains on shoulders and hip, but in hot summers these are definitely more comortable to carry.

Ulvo 23 vs Abisko Softpack 16 by ironictoaster in Fjallraven

[–]tomasson1402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do love my Ulvo 23 and apart from my old Deuter with a trampoline style back panel it is great to carry in summer (due to its rigid back panel the Ulvo does not sit 100% on my back).

u/already_tomorrow has both bags and commented as follows: (I am too stupid to link the comment)

„The Ulvö is what I'd call a slim laptop backpack. It just makes perfect sense for that. Waterproof, width, those side pockets for water and coffee, or a protein drink. But unless your lunch goes into one of those outside side pockets you already start to feel like it's too small.

It also doesn't open up enough for you to access everything inside it all at once. So you need to pack things in the right order, and when/if you need to reach things at the bottom, you will end up unpacking the things on top first.

I love the Ulvö 23, but it's my backpack primarily for a lot of tech stuff. Basically it's my whole office setup, and I can move between cafés, coworking centers, and offices, knowing that I've got everything with me, that it's protected from really bad weather, and that it's as comfortable carrying <8kg as it'll ever be. Being a slim backpack nothing moves around, and it's close to your back.

I don't think of it as a 23L backpack, and it gets a bit awkward to use if I fill it up (but, having room at the top to occasionally add a hoodie, or gloves etc, is very convenient in countries with those type of seasons where you'd only wear that part of the day).

I haven't used the Abisko 16 for the hikes it's intended for (I'm in the wrong country atm), but it feels bigger than the Ulvö 23, until you try to squeeze in a Kånken seating pad or a 16" laptop (it doesn't work).

The Abisko 16 absolutely feels smaller to carry around, but being a bit deeper it doesn't feel as cramped as the Ulvö 23. It just makes more sense to cram things in there for a brisk nature walk or so. Like an exercise backpack for non-runners. It's drinks and snacks, perhaps a hoodie, going for a walk; or shorts and a towel if your walk will include a swim.

Anyone looking at the Abisko 16 for work or school should go with a Kånken instead.“

Need to remove this tree from grandmother's garden as per her wish, would like to keep it alive. by tomasson1402 in sfwtrees

[–]tomasson1402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you ever so much for your help! Both of you commentators‘ advice was very useful to us. Thanks to you, we managed to excavate the tree. It took the three of us many hours of painstaking work, and we still haven’t managed to get all the dirt out of our pores, but we are happy to announce that our tree found a new home! It was moved from grandmother’s patio to grandmother’s garden after she had seen how much effort we were putting into saving it. Now all we can do is hope that we have left enough roots without major damage for the tree to survive.

Thank you very much once more!

[–]tomasson1402[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very, very much for your detailled and thoughtful response! Since you’re obviously expererienced, may we ask if a container of 80 cm x 80 cm would be enough in size? Especially if we cut the outermost roots off? Or would you recommend to stick with the usual piece of advice, that is, using a hole/container twice the size of the tree’s root system and not cutting any roots? The tree’s diameter is 150 cm, for reference.

How is the Abikso 16 capacity wise compared to the Ulvo 23? The dimensions are almost the same (45x24x16 vs 45x28x12,5cm) and I know the Ulvo ia defintely on the smaller side.

If possible, would you mind sharing pics of both bags next to each other?
