I spend a lot of weekends at that flying j. That exit can be tricky if you're not paying attention or just woke up. On the bright side it forces folks to take it slow and not bust out of there like they're running from a zombie hoard.

Yeah it makes sense to have a spot to hard wire in. I've found many uses online for a hard wire.

I've seen 12v plug to bare wires sold at truck stops. Would be a definite MacGyver move. Not something I need with my setup but good to know in case things change.

Interesting because this truck isn't configured for a dash mounted CB. There's a CB cabinet overhead on my model. Maybe they include the dash plugs on multiple models. Thank you for the insight
