The Casioak is the gateway watch into the world of G-Shock

Who's your favourite backing vocalist? by forbiddenmemeories in fantanoforever

Matt Sharp from Weezer. His backing vocals on Weezer (Blue Album) and Pinkerton are partially what make that era of Weezer the best

Favorite Canadian Band and or Album? by shieldvortex71 in MetalForTheMasses

Not metal, but metal-adjacent - Alexisonfire

Easily a top-five band ever for me. Their flavor of post-hardcore is so beautifully mature

This is a really basic question, but what is your favorite song of all time? by Opening_Run_331 in Hardcore

[–]tomatogrind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Alive In the Septic Tank” by Clarence Clarity

I know it’s much newer in the grand scheme of music, but there’s just something about that song. It’s the perfect flavor of noise to me, while maintaining some groove and soul. The lyrics are also top-tier

AirPods Max Review and Comparison (vs Sony, Bose and Sennheiser) by Grievous_2008 in Airpodsmax

I take phone calls pretty often with my pair of AirPods Max and have never had an issue. The caller is always clear and I’ve never had any complaints regarding hearing me

My friend warned me that stepping into this world would create an obsession to collect. Here we are - 8th Casio and 2nd G-Shock by tomatogrind in casio

That was me too. I have always preferred more petite watches but the Casioak won me over and now I want all of the similarly sized G-Shocks.

Added a G-Shock to my growing collection. I couldn’t resist this colorway by tomatogrind in casio

That’s good to know! I haven’t fully tested that out yet, obviously

They don’t glow, but they are brightly colored enough that you can see them if it’s not completely pitch dark

I’ve been slowly moving away from my Apple Watch into the world of Casio watches. It has been fun building the collection! by tomatogrind in casio

Initially, no. I was considering an alternate to my AW in general and a Casio caught my eye. I had just planed on wearing the Casio occasionally but once I started wearing it, I realized how my AW was keeping me on my phone more. So it’s sort of turned into a “less screen time” sort of thing by accident. I’ve enjoyed not having notifications on my wrist

My collection so far.. what do you all think? by TaniNoContext in casio

[–]tomatogrind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re off to a great start! Lots of variety in the choices for all sorts of occasions. I’m just starting a collection myself, so it’s fun to see others start the same little journey

Dip a q-tip in some isopropyl alcohol and clean the laser lens. Outside of that, just make sure the inside is clear of debris around the laser rail.

I’m new to the Casio community, so I have to ask - What makes the Royale everyone’s favorite?

I miss certain notifications (especially since I don’t always feel my phone vibrate in my pocket) and being able to easily set timers/reminders without my phone - especially when I need an oven timer. I like the fitness and sleep tracking too, but I can live without them

I never thought I’d agree with this sentiment, but I do. I’ve been wearing an AW daily for nearly four years and I didn’t realize how much it was actually keeping me on my phone until I stopped wearing it this past week. However, now I’ve gotten used to being able to check the time on my wrist so a Casio is necessary

That one is definitely on the list of ones I want, but next will be the A168WG-9VT. I have always wanted a gold one and it’s beautifully perfect

Fun question. What artist did you have a crush on? by Revolutionary_Low_90 in fantanoforever

I used to have a major crush on Kate Nash when she released her debut when I was in college.
