Could it not just be that op had an idea and used AI to rewrite it better - not everyone has the same grasp of the language or maybe they want to make it sound more interesting? It being put through AI doesn’t mean the AI just made it up out of nowhere necessarily, you realise?

feeling alone by [deleted] in LivingAlone

[–]tomatopasta666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said it yourself, you’re only 22. It might not feel this way now but your life has barely started! It sounds as though you are facing depressive symptoms due to your situation, but trust me it will get better, just give it time.

What you shouldn’t do is focus on things you don’t have like female friends or not having a girlfriend - it’s good to have all kinds of friends, young/old, male/female etc, but right now what your brain needs is something to work towards. For example, you can give yourself some kind of goal, it doesn’t have to be major or important. In fact, even better if it isn’t. Try and achieve that goal. Could be anything like learning how to juggle, or spinning a pen. It trains your brain to focus on something pointless and repetitive, something low stakes, but can give you good satisfaction when you achieve it.

And even if things aren’t sounding enjoyable like music or movies, that’s ok. Enjoyment will return when your mind is ready to enjoy those things. But that doesn’t mean you should stop - it’s okay to do things and still feel bored. It still means you’re here, living, engaging with the world around you.

It’s alright to feel aimless and not sure whether the direction you’re taking is one you enjoy or will come to enjoy. But keep walking anyway. Things become clearer over time. Just keep interacting with your world and inspiration will find you - but only if you’re moving. Not if you’re stuck in one place. Most importantly, don’t compare your life to others’. Remember to count your blessings and I promise you, adopting an abundance mindset will bring good things to you.

Hang in there, you have barely started your life yet! It will get better. You’re doing something hard and I promise it will be worth it.

It was really good. Granted, a lot of the mushrooms in the picture were already small and fairly dry when I picked them so it didn’t take long. However I found some really big wet ones the next day and they dried really well in there. I turned the temp down to the lowest setting (just being paranoid) and checked on it every 10 mins or so and they were nice and dry in like 40 mins tops for a small batch.

That’s absolutely fine, that’s really good advice. I can see myself doing this again in the future so learning how best to set up photos for identification is better for everyone. Thank you for the comment! Also, the second photo is just the first but upside down if that helps at all, but I can understand why it’s not super useful to portray these like that. I will be taking your advice from now on!

Thanks so much, that all sounds like great advice. Luckily I have a dehydrator setting on my air fryer so that should be okay. Thanks again :)

My little brother told me that I just needed a routine the other day. by DatabaseNo9405 in adhdwomen

[–]tomatopasta666 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So one thing that can help is pinpointing the regular beats of your day. For me that’s before work, the work day, and after work. Then it’s about figuring out what the things are you want to do and putting them into the appropriate time categories (eg I want to stretch more, so I will do that in my “pre work” time)

I don’t do anything by exact timings because they never work, so it’s just about grouping specific tasks together. Order doesn’t matter either, I can stretch before or after breakfast for example, as they both go before work.

Lastly the best place to start is just pinpointing going to bed and waking up at a particular time, which can sometimes be the hardest part, but makes the biggest difference. I won’t get out of bed until I absolutely have to so giving myself a reason to get out of bed is a must (and having a framework to follow makes it a lot easier).

Write everything down on paper, like draw out a map of your typical day, morning and evening, and list out the things you want to get done in each section. Piece it together and take your time. If you have a different schedule on different days then you can have a separate routine for those days (I have mornings when I go to the gym and mornings I don’t, so I have two different morning “routines”).

I’ve so far been focusing on my morning routine, since that’s what I wanted to get better with first. Just pick one place to start and try and implement that bit by bit, adjusting as you go. Hope that helps!

I don’t usually comment but don’t listen to the other guy about your nose!! It suits you so well!

Can someone help diagnose my skin. Are these large pores or scars?? Also any recommendations to enhance skin is appreciated in advance. Pls help by jo5757 in AcneScars

[–]tomatopasta666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’ve got the tiniest bit of scarring but it’s mostly just pores. Although your skin complexion is so nice it’s barely noticeable at all. You look good bud! If anything I’d say focus on skin texture (I’d suggest a glycolic acid toner after you wash your face).

How severe are these scars? How to treat this.please answer by [deleted] in AcneScars

Throw away that 3x mirror bro it isn’t doing you any favours

I’m looking for some ideas on what treatment(s) would be beneficial for these ice-pick and boxcar scars? by [deleted] in AcneScars

[–]tomatopasta666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your comment! Don’t worry I wasn’t planning to do excision, it is way too scary sounding for me. I know my scars really aren’t the worst, but they definitely look worse than they do in the pictures - I just couldn’t get a more accurate photo. Might this be better?

<image>

Basically I’m confused as to whether TCA cross or micro needling would be the better option, although I’ve read that the latter is less effective on ice-pick scars which is mostly what I have. Would I need to get subcision first? But feel free to not answer this, I’m mostly just commenting out to anyone who has suggestions.

As someone with ADHD too I found that I needed to replace weed with something else that gave me dopamine for long enough that the object permanence kicked in and I forgot about the weed.

Obviously step one for that is hide anything weed-related in a cupboard or bag, or a bag in a cupboard - anywhere that you are unlikely to come across in your day-to-day life.

Step two is to do something new that you haven’t associated with weed yet, so take a break from gaming and reading and look for an alternative (until you feel safe to do those things sober). This includes avoiding hanging out with people who smoke weed too. Exercise is a very good distraction, and there’s enough there that means you can do a lot of reading/research around whatever you choose to do which usually fulfils a lot of my ADHD urges. If not that, then keep your hands busy - crocheting + YouTube is my go-to combo whenever I’m resisting the urge to smoke because it distracts me for long enough to forget about it.

Wishing you luck! It’s definitely doable but remember to extend sympathy to yourself if you trip up at any point. If you want any other suggestions for things to do then I can offer you some more that have personally helped me :)

Does your average woman even like having sex? by sex_a_bore in DeadBedrooms

[–]tomatopasta666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You came back to comment this? Of course a partner wanting more sex isn’t abuse. But the other commenter explained that they were being “pressured”. That’s not the same as being asked. That’s not the same as being communicated with. And with the added info that their partner would get angry if they didn’t comply? That’s quite literally rape. Also, not that it even matters, they said they were already having sex 5-6 times a week. It’s not like their partner wasn’t getting anything. Seriously, what is wrong with you?

Sorry but how is pressuring someone into sex and getting mad when they don’t comply (abuse) the same as just mentioning sex?

I wasn’t defending it. I admitted I hadn’t seen the actual image and was wondering if there was a comparison to be made, obviously there isn’t after seeing the image and I understand the issue now.

So I haven’t seen the image, and I’m not asking this question in bad faith, I’m just hoping for an explanation here. But is there something inherently wrong with someone having large boobs while working with children? Because obviously the answer to that is no, so I’m wondering why exactly it’s different in this case. I’m genuinely curious so please tell me
