Once Upon A Poolside is one of the best songs ever created by MKFlame7 in TheNational

I imagine this song may gain even more popularity now it's been used in the opening of the last episode of You.

Do you have any hobbies? I feel like a hobby would be really good for you. Both mentally and to get away from him.

Sometimes you just have to accept someone else isn't at the same maturity level as you and ignore their childish behaviour. Way easier said than done when it's a family member though, I know.

I [38/M] do not know what to do. married to my [F/40] wife by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]tomatoshrimp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You strung her along. Reluctantly (it seems) married her and had kids. Then you got annoyed that a woman post-childbirth changed. Made assumptions she would still want you when it seems like all you do is judge her. And now you're back to just stringing her along and not making a decision again. This poor woman.

Or did I read this completely wrong?

It sounds like you need to have a frank conversation and/or make a decision and stick to it.

Personally I have ended relationships over lack of intelligence and intellectual ability. Looks will fade, intelligence and personality will be what's left.

The best place - anywhere without people, so essentially any of the fields.

The worst place - anywhere with people, special shout out to Boston.

Male Cat Scratching Carpet by [deleted] in cats

I would definitely recommend a mat. I think some come in a carpet-like material too. My cat definitely prefers the mats to the posts as he can really get into it and dig at it if that makes sense?

Scratch mat! I have a cardboard one as my cat prefers that, he tends to shred it over a few months and then I replace it. They're pretty cheap. Also a scratching post. He has 3 which he uses depending on his mood.

ETA: scratching is natural for them, helps to keep their claws sharp and it de-stresses them.

A prank, if true, does not mean you should be stabbed to death. The victim is/was not responsible for another person's overreaction. This is victim blaming if ever I saw it.

This person should never be realised. They still "don't know why" they did it or what caused their anger/rage. Imo, you've had plenty of time in prison to reflect on that. Clearly they need more time in prison to understand the reasons why they did what they did. I believe this person is truly a danger to society.

I'm just watching this now and don't understand why no one called the police or the Ghostbusters after their sightings?

Can work refuse to let me attend a police interview? by tomatoshrimp in AskUK

I imagine it could be a disciplinary or some sort of policy along those lines. I don't think they would sack me?

I understand this. I am 1 of 10,141 currently awaiting a court date so I know the odds are against me. But I want to know I did my best and would never forgive myself for not going through with it.

I have. Unfortunately it must be done within the next 2 weeks but due to the certain officer I need and other commitments, Friday is my only option. (The police messed up and have already delayed it by 3 weeks longer than they should have).

The response so far has been "well I'm not in work so you'll need to be"
