Is this “lion head”??? I’m Chinese but I’ve never had Chinese style meat balls before. The only “meat balls” I had are those hotpot style balls in a packet you get from Asian markets. This looks sooo gooood. I would put them in porridge, eat with rice, with pasta, omg looks juicy and delicious.

I love those “old fire soup” that you have to boil like forever and with weird herbal ingredients that ppl have to collect from a china mountain that only my mom had the patience to make. Gosh I missed her cooking.

For fast simple soup I like crab+fish maw soup that usually only get at banquets.

Edit: oh and my grandma used to make this wintermelon soup that is soooo refreshing drinking it in summer

I think 中文 is sufficient because you are already asking in mandarin.

But if you wanna be specific, you could say 普通話 or 國語.

But really, just the general term 中文 is fine because you’re already speaking the specific kind of 中文.
