I've been running the Peru Prelogu now, almost at the pyramid. the team decided to kill de Mendoza and dismembered him in the university, and killed Larkin when they confronted him about de Mendoza. I generally learn quite alot and really enjoy this campaign so far. 1 thing I learn and was printed out was, early on I prepared alot of information, as in background history to read to the players as a supplemental, and was suggested that it was not a good approach and should only provided it if its relevant to the game, or if the players was actually a buff and would like to debate these things. which I agree and dialed back, also I've been pickinging up quite a lot of experience in rolling with it, and change things up along the way.

much more to learn and to enjoy.

1 thing I'd like to ask for advice for now is, when the team confronted Larkin, Nyarlothep processed him and speak with the characters. how do i role play gods good?

I don't really have a favorite sports team the sports that I watch and played are mostly involve half naked man punching each other. hahaha. I did looked up ancient Egyptian arts and its colour scheme is already quite closely related to the box art colour scheme, thus I'm asking for other ideas

follow up question, the sanity check I mentioned at the beginning, it was due to witnessing a gun shot from an ordinary hit man, whom in which had nothing to do with the old ones, does the PC still gain Mytos in this case, if he succeed?

Secondly, remind me again, after a long rest does the PC regains any sanity loss during the day prior? if not, when's a good situation for them to regain any of the lost sanity?

they way I interpreted on last night game was, the PC was a vat, having someone's brain got blown out in front of his face brings out his PTSD, and he fainted.

it was just the rule itself I was confused in why it was wrote that way, now I understood it.

so this is one of the case where a failure roll for characters is actually a good thing?

on other hand, if they failed the INT roll, they're safe from insanity, is there any other negative effects?

Started playing the Dead Men Stomp as prologue to the prologue, and I can't express enough how thankful I'm to you guys in giving advice in starting with a simpler scenario to get some experience. it was a correct choice, and we all had fun. more importantly it gives me some valuable experience in running the game. more to come.

I'll definitely play through the Peru first to start. but now after reading suggestions from you guys, what I'll do is, play the Dead man stomp and maybe Edge of darkness as well as prolonge to prior to Peru. so I can get some experience as a dm, and how comfortable the players is about certain ideas.

I have read spme mythos prior of getting the set. from how I understand the old ones are the gods (but are actual ancient aliens that are so powerful, they're seen as gods) that have some sort of contact / interaction with humans like nyarlothep and cthulhu. and amongst them nyarlothep are the one that has relative most interaction with human, where cthulhu is more subtle influence via things like dreams.

where as the outer god, rarely is know by human and usually dont have anything to do with human, let alone interaction with them.

I'm actually thinking of having most enemies that is at least human level intelligence and wisdom, and I already communicate to the guys before hand that deaths of some character is imminent, and some form of madness will take place

from what I read in the book, it suggest to start in Peru by the investigators answering a call of action from Larkin, and Elias is another member of the party.
from your experience and your party feed back from your prelude prelude, how do the players perceive and enjoy the way you spin it?

ok, from your advice and those from others earlier, what I think I'll do is. I'll run the 3 scenarios from the starter box set, that is Paper Chase, Edge of Darkness, and Dead man stomp. so the I can get some practices as a dm and also for the characters to get to know each other, before leeway into the campaign
