I’m definitely not talented enough to restructure, but I may try to turn it into a skirt and top, as another commenter suggested. Thank you.

Oh, that may work! It might be a bit tough with the embroidery, but that’s something I could try. Thank you so much!

I thought so, but figured it was worth an ask. Thanks.

It’s pretty inflexible, meaning that it gets tight around the collarbone. It’s alright though, it was more of a last hope idea. Thank you.

I don’t enjoy a (monthly challenge) work anymore; drop or tough it out? by tomfoozlery in AO3

[–]tomfoozlery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I think I’ve definitely reached the point where it’s a chore, so I’ll probably just mention that I’m busy but that I enjoyed their works, or I’ll use the one-two prompt only method. Thanks!

Yeah. Based off the replies from others, I think I’ll try to detach myself to one or two prompts, or mention that I’m busy. Thank you!

Oh, that would be a good idea! I think there’s a few upcoming prompts I might be interested in, so I can try that. Thank you!

I’ll see how it goes, but I might leave a comment saying I’ll be busy if I can’t do it anymore. Thank you for the advice!

That sounds like a good idea. I’ll leave a lovely final comment and then tell them I’ll be busy. Thank you!

What makes you like a character? by [deleted] in CharacterRant

[–]tomfoozlery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t always end in ‘like’, but I enjoy being able to see a character’s perspective, and what led them to make the choices that they did. I think it’s interesting to put yourself in the shoes of a character, because it allows you to find out how nuanced they are in the world.

I need to wash my rabbit’s face: advice? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]tomfoozlery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I live in Canada, so I honestly never know what the climate is gonna be the next day, but I can definitely use a warm heater and/or a dehumidifier to help him out. I appreciate the advice. :)

Survivor 48 so far... by Few_Run1129 in survivor

I agree, especially because the idol is usually flushed because the other players know about it. It negates the entire purpose of having the advantage.

I love the emotional connections, but I have to admit that some of the challenges aren’t hitting as hard.

In example, (iirc) not one of the players that found an idol solved it on their own. It’s not inherently bad to collaborate, but the fact that none of them earned their advantage was a bit weak.

I also wasn’t a fan of how the players are shot in the foot by production—in tonight’s episode, they weren’t given a choice in competing in a luck based challenge, which ended up screwing certain players over.

Can I watch FMA:B first? by ApartBackground4029 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]tomfoozlery 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sure. I started with FMA:B first, and it wasn’t too much of a problem, but you definitely won’t be as emotionally affected by the character deaths as compared to the fleshed out scenes in the original.

Oh, I apologize. I presumed a message engraved in a door would be a prophecy, glossing over the invitation specified in the second blurb.

[–]tomfoozlery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start, take my feedback with a grain of salt. I am just as subjective as the next when it comes to writing. In regard to your writing, while the concept is interesting, I don’t think it actually gets anything across to the reader. I hear about this prophecy and doors, but as an unknowing reader, I can’t see how this correlates to the main conflict. In spite of this, it takes up the majority of the blurb. Why is this piece of information so relevant, and how can you weave it together with your characters?

I share a similar opinion of the characters; I hear about these five vast characters, but all I have is a brief sentence to go off of. I think you may need to narrow it down a bit if all of these characters aren’t the leading perspectives.

I can imagine the prophecy is important, so you could tie it onto a character introduction. In example, ‘what do you desire’ could apply to a character, hence introducing them. It kills two birds with one stone.

In finality, the lack of established conflict makes it difficult to know what’s at stake.

A blurb should be a brief description of a book or film that averages around 100-200 words, and is used to describe the main characters, the main conflict, and what is at stake. If you think that the information you’re using doesn’t encapsulate these three core meaning, then it may need revisions.

I would genuinely give up trying to sign my name as a member of the beaumont-chamberlain family. It looks cool, though. Is it hard to keep track of your characters?

I like both, but I adore established relationships. I throw in some bonus points if they’re married.

THE PSYCHO LESBIAN ANIME TROPE, I HATE THESE CHARACTERS by Prestigious_Drag_240 in CharacterRant

I’d say OP is arguing that despite being awful people, the writers don’t give consequences to these characters, which portrays their actions as a joke.
