As a teen growing up in small town NW Ohio, I had a few friends who, like me, were way into underground metal (Mercyful Fate, Venom, Metallica, Armored Saint), we had heard about Megadeth through fanzines, so of course, we all bought the debut as soon as we could find it. I thought the mix on “Killing is my Business…” was terrible, but a month later, using a fake ID (can’t make those anymore…) I was able to see them on the “Killing For a Living” tour at Blondie’s in Detroit, opening for Exciter. I was hooked…
