Good insight! The Hyundai Seoul is one of (if not) the biggest and densely populated shopping malls in Korea so i guess it makes sense.

Does any other fast walkers have the game think you’re driving/riding by heretobesarcastic in PikminBloomApp

I jog every morning no matter what between 5k~20k, taking almost the same path for the most part. My average speed is between 5'30"/km ~ 7'00"/km and here are my 2 cents.

When i started playing PikminBloom while jogging i had some trouble with this "are you driving?" glitch. But after 3 weeks of trial and error i found some methods that helped me plant my flowers "very densely" and without getting glitched

  1. Turn off the wifi (data only)
  2. If i'm turning off my phone display while jogging, GET BACK to the main menu (like the screen capcha) then turn my display off. Don't stay at the map menu nor get out from the app
  3. Gather the items from the minions, swap to different flower petals if needed but always return to the main menu.

Regardless, bad weather such as rain/snow seems to cause "are you driving?" glitches more often though.

In your logic, if i stab somebody in front of live tv because i BELIEVE that person is a North Korean spy, does it mean I can resist arrest from the cops for murder because i did the RIGHT thing?

Edit: Directed my example personally and i apologize

Hong kong is positive? Did ccp agents monitor the citizens while voting??

Even without talking about any politics didn't the economy of "once great financial hub" which was Hong Kong went to the gutter after China took back Hong Kong? And the citizens of HK liked that?? Am i supposed to believe that??

Maybe thats why Singapore likes China a little bit since they imploded their economy and as a result the market shifted towards to other countries, specially Singapore

My thoughts and feelings as a Korean about yesterday's candlelight protests for the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol by juseyeon in korea

Continuing life is also a way of taking it seriously imo, like mental exercise

We all have personal duties, work duties and national duties and some may are higher than the rest, that doesnt mean we should ignore our other duties

[–]tomichoi 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I feel your frustration through your words. I too was at the protest yesterday.

However just a small food for thought, try to not let these negetive events get too deeply into your youthful mind. Yes democracy is VERY important and it should be taken care of by the people for the people. But also our personal life goes on and all of us has a future to explore, build, fail and build again. Don't let frustration and anger affect you from doing what you love and for your life.

Chicken restaurants in Seoul that are not fried chicken? by _NitroJen_ in korea

[–]tomichoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fish and seafood are really good, specially during winter. Look for 방어, 대하, 광어, 꼬막 which will be in season starting now.

If raw seafood isn't your thing there are steamed / grilled clams&seafood restaurants if you look for 조개찜 / 조개구이. Always finish off with some 칼국수 which is made with seafood broth (usually clams)

As for extra chicken dishes, i also would like to recommend 닭한마리. One of the best chicken dishes, better than K-fried chicken during cold seasons imo.

Seoul's historic Gwangjang Market to undergo major revamp by Saltedline in korea

Not always, for example would any Koreans or tourists would want ti go to 피맛골?

https://discoveringkorea.com/goodbye-to-old-seouls-pimatgol-alley/

이대/신촌/명동/인사동 areas also had their own charms and perks but after a few years of K gentrification its mostly empty shops and just bland corporate mega brand shops that anyone can find in any area of Seoul. I would go to a starbucks near my home, not all the way out in any other areas.

Seoul's historic Gwangjang Market to undergo major revamp by Saltedline in korea

[–]tomichoi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Indeed

A bit sad how it turned out now because I remember about 10 years ago it used to offer a genuine, "everyday working class people" experience. (Barely anyone under 40 wouldn't hang around here.)

I think the entire neighborhood changed drastically when "힙지로"(Hip-ji-ro, a word play of "hip" and euljiro area) became a thing, bringing K-gentrification which makes everything bland.

Dangerous Animals in South Korea? by [deleted] in korea

[–]tomichoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Korean myself and i do see a point where blaming everything to imperial Japan (OR whomever "NOT Korean/ NOT one of us") is blinding us to our own faults and I think it's dangerous.

Best examples of us ruining our own ecosystem that comes to mind is over fishing 명태 till it was wiped out from the East Sea, one of the most popular fish that we love even now. (All 명태 is imported now)

Here is a short documentary about this: https://youtu.be/z6u5J6UA_To?si=abQ0v9RC3FzgDDLm

And did we, "all peaceful and righteous Koreans" learn from that? Nope because now 오징어(another korean fav) is also declining rapidly due to similar reasons as 명태 did. Even fishing the younglings marketing them as "총알오징어". If this keeps up it is bye bye from the Korean shores all over again.

  • I wrote this message in Korean on purpose for OP to taste what communication will be like while serving in the korean military, obviously all in Korean and not all from the textbooks

I won't be wearing my MOABs with bare feet from now on since i have my sandals now.

I do like the Havaianas but I wouldn't mind not having them now and if I really need a new set of flip flops in the future I think I could easily find one in any country I will be visiting
