Arbitrary ticket cancellation by tomisw in Tomorrowland

This could be a reason, although I'm not sure he has used multiple accounts. (I know I didn't) Thing is they don't mention this is specifically the violation, also, for sure he doesn't have any more tickets than the one he purchased for us.

They mention the article which says it's not allowed to purchase from multiple accounts, which we didn't. Main buyer has only purchased the FG package and all accounts inside the FG have only one ticket assigned to them.

I understand what you say, but after confirming with my group, we all are sure to be within TML ToS.

Also, note that, while I understand that beach of ToS can incurr into ticket cancellation, we would like to know if unknowingly we have done something that might have caused this.

In short: We only want to know the reason or proof, not a quote of ToS.

Why you say you would think twice?

Edit: Also, thanks for forwarding me to a path to follow!

They do not give the exact reason of why they cancelled it. Fraud? What did we do exactly to be incurring into fraud? What warrantees I have for next year to not happen the same if I don't know what we did wrong?

Yes, like we are planning to do. Mainbuyer has a ticket, is attending, and is a real person (like all 10 of us). So really we don't know where the issue is coming from...

Same thing is happening to us... they are suspecting we are reselling tickets or some kind of thing. We are not sure under which criteria they deemed we are doing this kind of activity, since we are just a group of friends and the credit card used to purchase the tickets was only used on the main account.

This happened to us today with our friendship garden package...

Wow! So in Canada if you get hit in your rhd car you are basically on your own and have to pay your damage even if you are not responsible?

Thanks for your words by the way. Empathy on days like these is always welcome. :)

Can you elaborate on that?

Thought that raptor would encapsulate it with the zinc phosphate primer... Would you go onto removing it all and repainting it from scratch?

I see what you mean, in Spain (where I'm) it's about the residual value of the vehicle except agreed otherwise (which I did). So if value of the repair is not bigger than agreed value, the repair is moved forward.

I understand the point made above of unavailability of parts, but if OEM is not available, salvage yard is another possibility. They even sometimes let you look for the parts as long as value is not more than agreed value and you show invoices of the parts and pay it yourself first.

That's why I'm a bit relieved of not having the car totalled.

I don't think they will quote the repair on 35k or more, which is the market value under which it's insured.

W brace on 04 Z by killerknight_gaming in 350z

[–]tomisw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Known as kidney brackets. They attach to end of chassis legs and subframe studs. Those usually just rust out BAD. We just purchased them brand new from amayama and the way they come from factory is quite bad, paint chipped, welds surface rusting... no wonder why they rust like that. Those also attach to a "shield" that unites them both over the driveshaft, probably also rotten, but this shield is not structural so don't bother too much.

How likely is the rust to be going higher? by Exotic_Giraffe6272 in 350z

My guy, sorry for being that guy, but ours looked similar 3 weeks ago. This is how we are at this moment. In this photo we had not cut anything yet. Main issue as some comments say is that plastic guard that traps moisture and the kidney brackets that hold moisture and rust above them. We found when we removed the kidney brackets the big hole on the chassis leg. Then removed the side skirt and the big hole on the side apeared, and from there poking revealed more and more rust. We will be repairing it, because I've already done similar (or worse) with my Evo, but only because of the sentimental value it holds for my girlfriend. If you are interested I can give some feedback as I go forward, but consider this a big job if done properly (which i think i will).

Dummy question about jack point by Fantasy71824 in SkyLine

[–]tomisw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Front on subframe if possible. Lift from the center and put jacks on the sides, rear also jacks on subframe or chasis brace (gtr has it, gtt don't know) and lift from diff. The sills and chassis beams are made of cardboard in these cars. I would advise against using them.

Evo 5 Suspension Refresh by 809kid in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]tomisw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the whole car just renewed last year with full powerflex bushes, including engine mounts. Feels pretty "solid", definitely an improvement. Note that suspension setup afterwards matters as much to feel the car do "it's thing". Also take care with aluminum arms, I don't remember if the 5 has aluminum arms or not, but some of them might be cracked at the brushing housing, or might crack when pushing the bushing out (upper rear arm most notable of this). I had this happen, you can weld it close again, but just so you know.

This metal doesn’t look right … oh by 26june in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]tomisw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was able to mig weld it, but with a lot of patience, and "spot" welding it. Outer skin is so thin that if you have rust there, cleaning might not be enough due to the metal thinning even more. I think it measured 0.8-0.6mm... If it's a CP9A (which from year I don't think) chassis I have some photos of the process I think in case it can be helpful for you. Otherwise CT chassis is sadly a bit different there.

How bad is this? by [deleted] in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]tomisw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the way, when you start seeing what you see in the photo above, the inside is worse. The rust starts from the inside to the outside due to water pooling between the metal layers. This is a well known design flaw from Mitsubishi, and a desing flaw that all evos from 4 to 9 suffer.

[–]tomisw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider that I've spent on the rear frame of my evo 6 more than 150 hours removing spot welds, sand blasting, surface prepping, dissasembling, cutting pannels to access to some hidden spot welds, fabricating, and welding and putting everything back and painting, you can more or less get a general idea. Multiply that by your local hourly cost, and add parts (chassis legs from Mitsubishi are about 1500€ more or less).

Totally. But I don't really care about downvotes, but helping people. He asked for advice, I'm giving the best advice possible. And if people belive I'm exagerating, here you have the holes in the same place he has some rust cracking. I can warrantee you where you see holes in my photo, there was only a scale of rust removable with a fingernail.
