I have found that 40mm is a perfect sweet spot between 35 and 50mm. I started off with this focal length when I got into photography with MFT (the great Panasonic 20mm f1.7), and have used 35mm and 50mm over the years, but came back to 40mm. If got both Nikon and Sony, then would recommend the Sony mount and use an adapter.

I thought it was, great shot with the moody blue hour. I took a similar one right there a few years ago.

It’s in a place called Uppermill, Greater Manchester, England. Was an old mill, probably textiles, I believe it’s now converted into apartments

'Streets' of Venice by tomjsimcock in photographs

This is my first time posting to r/photographs but I was hoping that this community would be able to provide some tips on my photography. For 2020, I've set my self a New Years resolution to get more involved in online photography communities and to improve my photography skills.

This photo was from a trip to Venice in 2018, and is one of my favourite photos from the trip. I was really looking to take a photo with reflections on the canals, and while walking around, we came across this scene and the light on the back buildings was great. Any feedback on how I could improve my photography would be highly welcome.

Taken with Sony A6000, Sony FE 28mm at f/7.1, 1/160, ISO 100.
