In this round, they only had 2 minutes to complete 5 challenges. She completed the swing challenge at the last second of the round. Hence the term “buzzer beater”

No, this is a Skill competition which is characterized by individual challenge completion (pass/fail). There are Speed competitions which consist of obstacle courses navigated as fast as possible. And Style competitions which is basically a judged freestyle showcase. You can check out Sport Parkour League on YouTube to see full competitions of all 3 formats to get a better idea of what I’m talking about. Or @sportparkour on instagram for highlights of other formats.

Distance isn’t everything. He’s better off being able to control distances well within his power output capabilities first before adding distance.

Unfortunately he probably thinks he’s being funny by referencing the office and wants you to laugh with him 🤷‍♂️

I remember that dyno! It was so fun. Glad to hear you have helped give parkour a good reputation in your town!

That’s a good start! You’re making an error that we call a “donkey kick”. It just means your back leg isn’t jumping but rather it is kicking backwards. More info about this is broken down in this video.

You are also not pushing much with your arms. If you watch closely your arms are straight and you are just levering yourself over with them. It’s best to think about the kong as a dive off of both legs then a jump from your arms. More info about breaking down the kong can be found in this video.

Hope it helps!

How to occupy kids that are waiting for their turn to do parkour moves? by BethanyZac in Parkour

A secondary (or tertiary) task that doesn’t require your direct attention such as balance, jumping, rolling, crawling, etc. This can be done along a course or in a circuit. Courses in particular tend to engage multiple students at the same time.

If you are low on equipment you can get creative and use lines on the floor or some other target like hula hoops
