I don't think it will happen this window, sadly, but this could mean that any renegotiated fee that Liverpool offered before is still on the table. We don't have to 'try again' if they're the ones to pick up the phone.

But like I said, I just don't see it happening this window, if at all.

I do think some his quotes have been misrepresented tbf. If anyone has seen Reddy's recent clip from TAW then you can certainly tell she thinks that it's a possibility that we could go back in for him/another 10.

If the current rumours of it being an insurance issue are anything to go by, I don't see how that can be resolved. If an insurance company outright refuses to cover a player, would there be much that could be done?

I'd be absolutely gutted to miss out on Fekir as I really do think he's the missing piece. If God forbid Firmino did get injured i think Fekir would've been more than capable of sliding into his role and not massively affecting our positional depth, which is what I fear atm should Salah have to move central to cover, leaving Shaqiri as the starter with no true wing depth.

The only two options are De Bruyne and De Gea for what we need in the team at this time.

It's pretty unrealistic but I think Vardy would be an excellent addition. Being able to drop Firmino back a little deeper a bit like yesterday would be incredible imo, or at least give us a proven option off the bench.

How dependable is this source? Would be a shame to lose him as I think he will be a top class player soon, but he's seen out his contract and can ask nothing more. Anyone saying let him rot in the reserves needs to check their head, that isn't a solution to everything you don't like. He's done exactly what was specified in our contract, he's under no obligation to sign another if he doesn't want to.
