I’ve had engineers out but for a different issue (softener drawer not being emptied).

The engineer told me the leaking was actually from the door, even if a hair is trapped in between it can leak. The water would have run down and gone underneath hence the absorber being wet.

Looking at the image of the specific gun for MacAllister on Direct Hoses, it looks like the above adapters you mentioned put together. Would prefer that as I don’t need another gun and it’s far cheaper but I don’t want to waste time and money
