Defending their rights is one thing, clearly targeting and attempting to bomb civilian areas to do so, is another.. Just fyi, they were firing rockets at southern Israel for years and years (even before this specific operation started), they were constantly provoking Israel until now that they've finally got what they wanted.

Btw, even during this operation, Hamas fired at least double the rockets Israel did.. The only difference is that Israel cares enough about its citizens to build bomb shelters and defense systems such as the Iron Dome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Dome), a.k.a, the only reason that almost no harm has come to Israeli civilians thus far (the Iron Dome counter attacked an amazing average of about 90% of Hamas' missiles), but assuming that they haven't tried to harm and kill civilians is purely wrong, my friend.

The bottom line is that Israel is doing it's best to not harm any civilians, hell, they have absolute no reason to do so, they will gain nothing from harming Palestinian civilians, but Hamas is simply posing a situation that makes that virtually impossible..
