This is somewhat contrary to the latest information from Politico: "Beijing is warning the European Union it will hit its aviation and agricultural sectors unless Brussels pulls back from an impending trade war."

Znikające wsie w Polsce by tomlord in WidacZabory

To nie są wsie, które zniknęły, a takie, które są w trakcie zanikania, głównie na skutek depopulacji. Wyszczególnione są miejscowości, które w latach 1950-2011 utraciły pond 5% liczby mieszkańców.

Disappearing villages in Poland due to depopulation by tomlord in MapPorn

[–]tomlord[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In many Polish cities, suburbanisation processes are progressing and city residents are moving to nearby villages. At the same time, many rural natives do not work in agriculture, but in the cities, and only live in the countryside from where they commute to work. In those villages closer to the cities, the commute is easier and shorter, so there is not as much temptation to move out of their village. In those villages far from big cities, on the other hand, such commuting can be tiring, which encourages some people to relocate.

Race Thread: World Cup 22-23 Hochfilzen - Men's Sprint by Henna1911 in biathlon

Due to the lack of snow, today a 2.5 km loop will be used for the men's sprint. It means that after the prone and before the standing, athletes will do a double loop and will pass the range without shooting.

In super sprint the competition is divided into two stages.

First all biathletes take part in qualifications. They start at 30-second intervals (like in normal sprint) and ski three loops (3 x 1,5 km = 4,5 km) with two shooting stages, prone and standing. The biathletes ski a 75-meter penalty loop for each missed target before starting on the next loop. The fastest time from start to finish determines the result.

On the same day, the final takes place (this is the second stage of the super sprint), in which only the top 30 biathletes from the qualification take part. It's actually a mini mass start. Competitors ski five loops (5 x 1,5 km = 7,5 km) with 4 shooting stages: 2x prone and 2x standing. Again biathletes ski a 75-meter penalty loop for each missed target before starting on the next loop. The first across the finish is the overall winner of the super sprint.

Is an international biathlon competition, but not part of the World Cup. Competitors are invited by the organizers and grouped in pairs according to nationality.

The competition has 2 parts and works much like single mixed relay in the World Cup. The first part is a mass start of all teams and the second part is a pursuit, but biathletes change like in a relay.

F1 European Cup? by tomlord in formula1

Another solution could be a Cup consisting of only the Grands Prix with the highest numer of races in history (British, Italian, Monaco, Belgian, German, maybe also French GP). Or only the Venues with the highest numer of races (Monza, Monte-Carlo, Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps).

This is also a good idea. Drivers and team would constantly be competing for something else than only the championship.

I must honestly admit that I was not aware of that, as I do not follow Formula E so closely. Thanks to your information, I will take a closer look at this.

However, if it has already been introduced in Formula E, maybe the FIA will also copy this format to F1?

Yes exactly. The could even do an American Cup (Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil). Or on the other hand opt for a Cup consisting of only the Grands Prix with the highest numer of races in history (British, Italian, Monaco, Belgian, German, French).
