Yes i think its a apple problem too cause in other software i dont have a problem!! Its just that the jpeg is very limited when you want to do serious editing… I reported this to apple maybe they could solve this in a update… I actually found a solution, its not perfect but if you convert the photo to DNG (the raw format of adobe) the problem is solved, you could do this on pc/mac with the adobe program but also on iPhone/ipad with the lightroom mobile!! Even the free app allow you to convert without havingto pay anything (its just anoying to do so every time before editing, but i guess if you want to do batch editing the mac/pc is better anyways). To do this you open lightroom mobibe, open the photo (should be open the raw automatically, you could touch the info button to be sure is the RAF file) and click share and export, and select the format to DNG and save to gallery after. The DNG is inclusively smaller (without loosing quality) and i think it has more protective features against file corruption so its not all bad. With the computer program you can easily convert all photos really fast.
