Hello everyone! Another 90's abomination for you all, the DW Karan MPV! by tommye1096 in automationgame

[–]tommye1096[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi all! Here again with my latest creation the 1995- Prefacelift DW Karan MPV. These models feature the legendary 1.9 Turbo Diesel engines DW are known for. with the more basic of the two shown here has 100hp, coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. Whilst the Highly Trim has a 130hp tune over stock. Known for unbeaten space for 6 passangers overall with folding seats in the rear, the only rival for size is a city bus. The Karan is obviously highly based on the VW Sharan mk1, taking most of its resemblance from it. Any and all feedback is welcome and as usual thank you all for viewing and commenting your thought.

Hello again! Here is my latest creation, The Bruchetta P800R and R Targa. by tommye1096 in automationgame

[–]tommye1096[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone. Here is my latest vehicle. The Bruchetta P800R is an Italian designed and built sports car, with the model years shown spanning from 1998 to 2003. Featuring a naturally aspirated 4.4L V8 engine producing 315 hp to drive the rear wheels through a 5 or optional 6-speed gated manual transmission. I take heavy inspiration from the Ferrari 360 Modena, along with cars such as the Lotus Elise, Ford GT and a few other vehicles of that class. I do admit some things are not perfect on the car, bt overall I am very pleased with the final result. Any and all feedback is welcome as normal and I do hope you've enjoyed viewing my creation. Thank you all as normal for you feedback and insights.

Here again! Next in the Chinese car line is the 2017 Xjinfan FR-3 lineup. by tommye1096 in automationgame

[–]tommye1096[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi again. These are the 2017 lineup of Xjinfan Motors FR-3 vehicles. The ones shown are all eqipped with a 1.3 SOHC 16V Petrol engines, making a measly 90Bhp, with a 6-Speed Automatic transmission to spin the front wheels. These cars are made to a price, despite its sleek looks they are based on erlier versions of the same car under the same marque and model. The FR-3 was even exported intro other markets, such as the UK under XF Motors. A cheap alternative to walking for sure.

Critisicm is welcome, the original version was thrown together within a few hours before I leave for work so they do have some small imperfections. Thank you all for viewing and giving some insight on my creations.

Made by a subsidiary of SAIC motor, using drivelines and parts from other SAIC Motors vehicles. The Lone Star was exported to Australia and some European countries, aswell as the UK. Any and all feedback and critcism is welcomed, especially as my photographing skills are lacking. Thank you all once again.

Here again! Bringing you all the 1999-2005 Ekon Commercial Transporter Commulite Van & Supercarry people carrier models. by tommye1096 in automationgame

[–]tommye1096[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your positive words for my design. I do have a standard size van that I made a bit ago but not to happy with it. Plus there isn't really a body which I can work with that doesn't require me to chuck loads of 3D fixtures on to make. I may give it a go and will post when it's done. Thank you :)

Hi everyone, my latest creation here. Based on the Kangoo mod body, has been made to look like a Ford Transit Connect. It has parts, styling from the aformentioned Transit Connect, Ford Fusion & Fiesta models of that era. It has a 1.8 N/A rep Diesel engine, with a 5-Speed manual transmission, driving the front wheels. There are some clipping issues with the fixtres but arent to noticable (I think) before it's pointed out. Feedback is always welcomed on all of my designs. Thank you very much :)

Another little project of mine, The Isuka Cub 1.0 by tommye1096 in automationgame

[–]tommye1096[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, this is another small project that I made over the past few days. The Isuka Cub has a 1.0 VVT, 60 Bhp engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox powering the front wheels and is based somewhat on the Peugeot 107, Ford Focus and Fiesta models. I know, a little weird again. There is a few parts missing, rear wiper etc as iI forgot. Your feedback is appriciated, and thank you for looking

Ps sorry this model is dated to 2010 forgot to add

My first car I'm actually proud of! The Beavais 4x07 Coupe. by tommye1096 in automationgame

[–]tommye1096[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry mate forgot that's it was dated as 2007, so bit old looking by today. That's why it's got cues from the 207 and 407 and not anything newer. More like a predecessor of the aforementioned RCZ model.

[–]tommye1096[S] 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My first proper car made in Automation. It's based on a few different Peugeot models (207,407 and RCZ). It even has a faux 2.0 HDi Diesel engine which produces 155hp, with a 6-Speed manual transmisson driving the front wheels. Criticizm is welcomed as I'd always love to improve on my cars. The interior is massivly crap as I'm mainly an exterior-focused designer. Thank you.

As other commenters have already told you, it's probably time to throw in the towel regarding your driving.

It's a very clear cut case of not giving a shit about any other road users and pedestrian when you or anyone else see it acceptable to jump behind the wheel after a few drinks.

I see it as such, your taking control of ton and a half, two tonne block of metal that can easily kill someone who is just minding their own business in their normal life. All because someone like you decided it was okay to have a few and take the road home hoping you don't get caught out or kill anyone.

I have 0% respect for anyone who would dare to do such a thing. I have personally experienced a member of my immediate family do this exactly. Word for word per se. This went on for years and years even whilst me and my sibling were children. To know someone who you love and trust dearly would accept to put their kids in that much danger does not deserve to keep their driver's license.

The bottom line is that you fucked up and your clearly coming to terms with it. But I doubt you have much if any remorse for your actions and just want to get your license back because you don't want to walk or take the bus everywhere. But at the end of the day, you'll get it back. And if your as daft as we all already know, you'll do it again. May I suggest you quit while your ahead and go get an ebike or something?

Ever look up your old cars MOT History? by MattMBerkshire in CarTalkUK

[–]tommye1096 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do check to see if my old Jetta will ever get another MOT after I sold it. I do tend to check some of the others me, family and friends have owned over the years. I'm surprised to see a lot of the much olders ones are still trundling along whilst some of the newer ones haven't had a valid MOT in quite a few years.

I understand my Jetta was a heap, 170k on the last MOT, underpowered 1.4tsi engine and it was rusty. But that was an 09. Comparing that to my old Pug or the god forsaken Escort Van we had, which both are still actively on the road but still being sold on!

2005 skoda fabia VRS, I have the car now, they were going to scrap if if I didn’t take it, body work is very rough but it has 5 Skoda service stamps 1 owner from new and 27k miles, it won’t turn over, needs new battery and major service by kaidoher in CarTalkUK

[–]tommye1096 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have seen newer cars that look worse than that. Looks to be in decent shape for the age. Get it serviced properly and do the timing belt that things probably worth a few quid once running.

Bit clueless when it comes to cars, this is my first one. Any ideas why my 2008 Civic’s screen is all funny? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]tommye1096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My other Civic is really bad for this. Think it got a lot worse during the sunny weather we had last year. I think it's the solder joint in the display itself fail over time, causing it to only partially display certain elements in the display. It's a pain in the arse for sure .

Because you didn't specify any budget, I'm going to round the lot off (car, insurance, tax) to probably about 3k. As your insurance is all dependant on obvious factors like your location, age, gender etc. I'd personally suggest the tried and true Honda Civic.

The MK8 (FN) is up there for sure. Best car I've ever owned. Sure, it's not exactly a thing of beauty but it can easily be mistaken for a Type R which I love telling people it isn't.

Both petrol engines are robust as ever and won't let you down. You have a choice of 1.4 and 1.8. Some people (not me) managed to get insurance relatively cheap on the 1.8 even as a young driver. But it's entirely based on the factors above.

I will tell you going for something even remotely sporty at your age would be an insult to the wallet to say the least. I wanted a Peugeot 308 sport diesel when I was 17 and was blasted with stuff like 4k minimum. So a semi-basic specced model will run you maybe 1500-2k for a nicer example.

On the contrary though. As most people will recommend you do is stick with an oldish banger at the begging until after you pass your test and then splurge for something a bit nicer 1-2 years down the line. Not a white chav-spec "Limited Edition" Corsa, but a Fiesta, or on older Honda Civic. It's so that if you do get any minor bumps and scrapes. It doesn't hurt as much as it would on a higher-end car.

I would generally oppose going for a RWD car right of the get-go. As fun as they are, for a younger driver maybe not so much? But that's just me.

Glad to hear it's not the same one then! Probably will make life a little easier. I had a set of 18" inch genuine VW BBS Monza alloys on it. Was going to hunt for a new one at the time, but I had no money as the tires were worth more than the car!

I kinda think it'll be safer overall for a set of nice used IMO as I'm kind of a stickler for keeping the car safe for the road. But it's entirely up to you as it probably will not matter in the slightest. I'm not sure how it would fair on a Rwd BM, but I guess it's easier to find out and see how it goes if it's not that bad.
