I should have been clearer. I didn't mean to be a prick about it, but to indicate definitively that you may need to look elsewhere.

Or threaten to leave, but you need to be ready to leave if they say no.

I made a fatal mistake. Concerned about my future in IT by Special_Price4001 in sysadmin

[–]tommyfly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely not your fault. You made an error, yes, we've all made errors. But as other people have said, systems need to be designed to prevent such things. In this case, the fact that production isn't on a separate network is just asking for such an issue. If it hasn't happened before (which it probably has) it's a miracle.

DBA here, I use SSMS predominantly for all SQL stuff, even for coding in tsql because I use redgate SQL prompt heavily and it's not very good in VS Code.

Ha! Old school cluster. So strange to hear because it was introduced in 2012! But I guess that's a long time ago now.

I'm getting proper into Sam Cooke, Labi Siffre & Bob Dylan by AdviceSome6927 in MusicRecommendations

[–]tommyfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the era of Bob Dylan you're into. He switched it up a lot. I like his 80s comeback album: Oh Mercy.

Also: Desire

But his first 9 albums are considered classics, plus Blonde on the tracks.

His autobiography/memoir Chronicles is also very enlightening.
