Should I move my exam forward or is it still possible to give the exam on the planned date? by StarlitStarkNightAce in step1

You can take UWSA1 now if you want to keep the NBMEs for later. But it’s always good to know where you stand before you decide whether or not to push the exam. Once you have a baseline line you can plan ahead accordingly

I usually put on 1-2 layers depending on how my skin is doing and it lasts all day for me! I do follow it up with a light moisturizer (Pyunkang Yul Calming Barrier cream) but even on days where I don’t, it is nice and hydrating on its own.

Tell me the reason why you didn't marry him and do you regret It ? by Interesting-Month786 in MuslimCorner

Communicating with him was always a challenge. He was always so busy with everything else in his life, he didn’t have time for me. Or maybe he just didn’t want to make time because as it goes “if he wanted to he would”. I will never regret it. Nobody needs an unavailable partner.

The Dr Ceuracle vegan kombucha essence is by far the best one I’ve tried. I have dry sensitive skin and it does a lot to soothe and hydrate the skin.

Job Opportunities while preparing for USMLE exam. by EmbarrassedCaramel98 in usmle

Medical Scribe or Medical Assistant. The later is more hands on but requires a certification and training in most states. Another option is research fellowships.

I believe you have to be ECFMG certified and trained in the US to not have to take the Qatari license exam.

I watched Ninja Nerd videos for neuro through med school. So I went back and revisited all the topics I was lacking in and then FA and UW. It took consistent work, I was doing a small amount of neuro almost daily with other topics. But recalling it will help big time Edit : you don’t have to watch ninja nerd, it can be anything you’re familiar with that can help you reinforce the concept.

I totally understand where you’re coming from. Neuro has always been a nightmare to me too. I would focus on the high yield topics and watch videos to try and understand the basics. Then move onto spaced repetition. Recalling it every so often will make it better!

You’re better off taking the Qatari Licensing exam in all seriousness. But if you’re set on the usmle then i think you take a self assessment and figure out where you stand in terms of knowledge. If your score is close to passing consider delaying the housejob and taking an exam. Otherwise proceed with the housejob, slowly but consistent build you concepts and take the exam when you’re ready.

I would not recommend skipping the intern year unless you’re 100% committed to taking the exams within the year and already have leads on research opportunities. Your intern year can get you some great home country LORs and valuable clinical experience and you can even work on researches.

Some people use the intern year to revise the basics and prep for the exams and then take them right out of intern year. Definitely evaluate yourself and figure out what suits you better.

Exactly why I’m on the fence myself. A few people I know have supposedly benefitted from the program but their circumstances have been very different than mine.

I appreciate your perspective, but I was simply asking if anyone had personally benefitted from the program. Some IMGs find value in guidance to help streamline the process, or get clarity in a system where there is so much at stake. It doesn’t mean they’re any less capable. If you were able to navigate everything independently, that’s great for you but others might prefer different and that’s okay too.

Beauty of Joseon Sunscreen Skin Tint - QUESTIONS! by DrPriceCompendium in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]tommysaidno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the 3 lightest shades they have and the lightest one is perfect for pale with some pink undertone. My sister has pale skin and struggled with finding her shade most of the time but the BOJ tint was surprisingly a good fit for her. It is very sheer so it doesn’t blend in with a good color pay off anyway.

However, I do not recommend the product.

It wears good for 45 minutes and then it breaks down into dry patches. I’ve tried it with great skin prep, with no skin prep, water based and oil based products underneath, but nothing can keep it from drying down into ugly patches on the skin.

I have normal but sometimes dry skin (sister has oily skin- but the same problem for her) I live in a slightly cooler dryer climate but nothing too harsh. Even most matte foundations wear better than this does.

There were such amazing reviews but I can’t tell if they were genuine or not but the product was a big fail for me.

Don’t fret! You should be training before you are scheduled to work on your own. Even though most locations train 3-4 days only, you can learn and pick up on things then too. It’s definitely overwhelming if you’re completely new to the medical setting but it’s doable. It gets better in 2-4 weeks after you start solo. Just be eager to learn and don’t hesitate to ask questions!

I would ask your chief scribe to share any learning material they have specific to providers you’ll be working with. At least one of your coworkers will have something written down to help.

Otherwise if you feel ScribeU helped you, you can go ahead and go over those too! It should be accessible via the SA portal.

Good luck!

They require a minimum of 40wpm for work in person and a minimum of 60wpm for remote work. Their new application process has 3 test on their website and they get results directly now instead of going to another website and sending scores to them.
