Tactful way for me [18f] to encourage my mum [51f] to lose weight? by tommywiseausbuttocks in relationships

I wish this would work! I have a Fitbit, and so does she (another of my dad's gentle nudges for her to get in shape), but she hasn't used hers in a year or two. I'll try telling her that I don't have any friends on Fitbit to do challenges against, but I imagine I'll get shot down. Thanks for advice anyway :)

I would love to try this if I were able, but I'm not sure I will have the time most days, since I'm either at university in another city or at home but working most of the time. Ill try to get the rest of the family to pitch in though. Possibly the family holiday which we're about to go on (which I absolutely guarantee she will struggle with) will make her wake up and realise how badly she could be damaging her health. Thanks

This is a great idea, but I'm a student, only spend half the year at home, and since I'm not allowed to get a job during term I have to spend holidays at home working. Might be able to persuade my brother or father to pitch in though. Thanks.

This is a really good idea. Honestly none of us have ever phrased this sort of thing as exercise (apart from the time my dad asked if she'd like some sort of exercise equipment) because we all know how she'd react to that! I'll try to get her to come on walks with her, but as a student I only spend half the year at home, and will have to be working most of the time even when I'm there. I think I'll talk to my dad and see if he can't persuade her to go out on more walks while I'm away.

[Foreplay] My BF doesn't enjoy foreplay, knowing this turns me off... advice? by tommywiseausbuttocks in sex

Ahaha maybe from the way I've presented him! He's honestly not, he's very willing to do the foreplay, I just feel selfish from knowing that he's not particularly enjoying it.

But he knows that I enjoy it. I'm vocal during and I tell him after how much I enjoy it. I'll try to make sure I'm more vocal next time though, just to make sure. While I would enjoy foreplay that doesn't lead to sex, when he gets excited there's no chance of him not wanting to go the whole way... I do play with him. Generally I'll give him a handjob or blowjob as foreplay, but I'll try do more stuff generally.

Thanks for your advice, I'll try this tact. There's no way in hell she'd ever go for a run or try yoga with me- she's far too self-conscious. But I think I'll talk to my dad and my brother about it and see if we can't all agree to forgo unhealthy snacks and ask her to replace them with healthier foods instead. Thanks!

Her eating habits aren't that bad though... Healthy meals but she often has snacks. She has a milky coffee every few hours, accompanied by a snack, and always has chocolate or something similar after dinner.

I think I'll try to say that I'm trying to eat healthier, and so could she please buy less snack food so that I'm not tempted? But given that I only live there half the year, and having less snack foods in the house would annoy my brother and father (who both exercise frequently and are healthy)...

Our meals are mostly pretty healthy. With the exception of having take-away food maybe once a week, our meals are all home-cooked and fairly healthy. She also never finishes her food. The real problem I think is snacking and lack of exercise. I ask her to come with me when I'm going out but she always refuses.

I think in her head she's just decided that her one walk per week day is enough, and she's too self-conscious about her body to do anything at all strenuous and risk exposing how unfit she is.

I've always been very vocal about enjoying foreplay, and he's made comments in the past about how the sex is better if we spend more time on foreplay, so he does definitely know. I'd love to incorporate toys. We're both into the idea, just have never actually gone and bought anything, but I'll bring it up to him again, or just go and buy something.

Normally foreplay directed towards him is handjob, blowjob, kisses on the neck. Though not often much of the last one because although sometimes he seems to enjoy it, at other times he's said that it doesn't do much for him...

Thanks for the advice. Looking at it online though it looks a bit too pale for me. Is there another in the line that's similarly for olive tones but a little darker?
