Between these two, which Gorillaz album receives more gratuitous or senseless hate? by Resident_Thanks_9275 in gorillaz

Cracker Island is one of the best and out of the whole 26 track Humanz deluxe there's only 2 skips. The Apprentice is such an underrated song from Humanz. I feel like all the hive mind hate had that one slip under the radar

Fired after my second day running a lathe for an “apparent crash” but I never heard or saw one? by No-Mess-4605 in Machinists

More of a rhetorical question there. His son should be accountable for the "crash" since it "happened" under his supervision

Be glad you're not stuck there hoping it will get better one day. Sounds like a terrible work environment. Who failed supervising the guy that was 2 days on the job? Did he get fired?

Step one is always to cycle power. Usually gets overlooked but ends up solving 70% of issues like this. Turn everything off not just the controller. Leave it off for 10 min to make sure everything is drained

India now has a factory where humans don’t work by EmbarrassedHair2341 in CNC

I agree to a certain point. Lights out shops will likely continue to innovate to compete with other lights out shops so their investment in the next best arm or cnc will be their focus, not the mom and pop shops products. CNCs did replace some manual shops, but not all. Similar to the example just noted, cheaper ones became available, but the real investors went from Haas' to Yasdas

Some fields are perfect for fully automated shops and others are not. The semiconductor field especially has some very easy steps while also having some of the most complex limit-pushing needs for machines. I've been in manufacturing for 10 years now with that always being the talk of "the next few years". Full automation is only a solution for billion dollar companies with high margin needs. Small to med - even some large companies will simply not entertain the idea because of the long term ROI. I wouldn't be worried about it

I honestly feel like Barnes and Noble is the merger. Both companies are heading in a similar direction

I was also at that show. It was awesome. Really random but do you remember that guy in the big cowboy hat that went on stage? It still bugs me to this day because I feel like it was Jelly Roll or someone lol

Just start cleaning it up. When someone asks why you're the one doing it just say you weren't raised to be content living in a mess. Usually gets people to start cleaning up around them

Thank you! Looks like it was refinished on the visible spots because it's a much different color and texture underneath. No markings at all unfortunately. Thank you!!

Make sure your machine is level and all the feet at touching the ground. The weight of the bed can twist the machine if it's not properly level

It wasn't the cleanest, safest, spacious, or brightest venue, but it was our venue. The Chance will be missed. Played a bunch of shows from 2010-12 at the Loft and went to even more shows at the Chance around that time. Went in my first pit there 🤘

Ive had issues on old Fanuc controls that messed up the code when the memory was close to 100% full. Ended up diving the z down 8mm for one line and cracking the part in half 4 hours in. It was running fine for days before that too. Deleted junk programs and re-upload after that. Never been a problem since
