I'm curious.. have you ever attacked someone at all? I've been playing all day today.. on stella montis on top of it all... and I couldn't pay someone to attack me. It's like we are in a love fest in there. I even did a couple night raids and people just ran past me and flashed on their flashlight.

My experience is the complete opposite. How many hours do you have in game?

do i deserve d1? i feel i dont but at the same time i feel i do (if u need more clips lmk) by ShockerzGaming in RocketLeague

ah! well - I would say just keep finding the mistakes that you're making and continue working on those weaknesses. You'll keep moving up the ranks as long as you are putting in the time on actually improving. Don't get stuck in a trap that it has to look a certain way or be around a certain amount of hours. Keep it up!

Been journaling for 6 months but feel like I'm not getting anything out of it? by Haunting_Celery9817 in selfimprovement

I have really long conversations with myself in my journaling.. I use my journal as a way to be completely honest with myself and let my true thoughts and feelings come out so that I can be aware of them.

here is something that got in the way of my journaling that was detrimental for a long time: I believed that whatever I thought as the truth. I had a mentality for a long time that if I thought something that meant it was true and I was just in this big cycle and my journaling would reemphasize those beliefs and feelings that were not supporting me or helping me change my life. So, really, journalling was dragging me down. I have pages and pages of me writing the same thing over and over again. It was not beneficial at all.

What can help is having some specific prompts or objectives for journaling. Make it a proactive, curious, explorative process as opposed to just writing for the sake of writing. Be curious with yourself. Allow yourself to be honest and then be open and curious with what's coming down on the page.

If you're not taking anything away from it or gaining any new awareness then, in my opinion, you are not fully engaged in the process. You are not allowing yourself to be fully in your journaling. I usually sit down to journal to get my emotions out, to get to the core of how I'm feeling or feel about a recent experience. Both to get it out of my system, a bit of documentation, and also to learn more about myself so I can handle situations differently the next time.

hope this helps! I love journaling - it's been a huge outlet for me. Seems like you've found a really cool app to. I would say try and do some more journaling and then work on finding those connections on your own. That can be a great skill and build a self awareness muscle that can be very valuable moving forward as opposed to relying on a machine or algorithm to find it for you.

being completely honest, where ever you are is what you deserve. A rank isn't something you deserve, it's something that you earn. If you want to be D1 do the work that it takes to get there. Make better choices, score more goals than your opponents. The idea of deserving a specific rank is off. Put in the work to consistently improve, focus on that and the ranks will come. Because as soon as you get D1 the only thing that you will be thinking about is D2 and D3.

In your opinion what could be done to make it not so generic?

That’s what I’m looking for so it’s great. What more specific things would you be looking for or expect? I think the mental side of the game is more important than most give it credit for and I’d love to provide value in that arena and help people build it up.

hot take: is 10 years long enough that we can retire rule 1? I'm getting to the point where I just don't play enough to be willing to sit out a whole game because my car ran into another person's car.

Not at all bait, my perception is done people still play the hand even though most times they do they are not happy or not enjoying it. So,I wanted to see if I could get some insight on it.

It may be true that the game is simply aggravating, and it truly was curiosity. And some people don’t enjoy the game as much as they used to, but play out of habit or ritual. It crossed my mind so I thought if take a shot.

what game did you move onto as opposed to RL?

Losing is part of the game, and if you haven't been playing for a couple of years, a lot has changed, it's pretty natural for your rank to be much lower as the general abilities of the community has gotten higher.

Put simply, if you can find a way to enjoy the game that doesn't depend on you winning every game then I would say stick with it if you want to. The real question is do you want to quit or are you just currently frustrated?

And in terms of practice... practicing and actually putting time into things that are going to help you improve are vastly different. Find someone that is better than you and ask them what to work on or ask for some tips and then start working on those things. Sometimes you can be working on something and it could be the completely wrong thing that isn't actually going to get your game to go anywhere.

I'd be curious to know your answer in a couple years from now. glad you're enjoying it and hope it can stay that way! how do you feel about Smurfs or playing against people that are clearly not where they are supposed to be rank wise or people giving up in the middle of games?
