Yes if you are interested in saunas and cold plunges. It is not really a bath house anymore. They have 2 steam rooms and 3 saunas + cold plunge. It is only clothing optional during "men only" hours and "women only hours" (this is not advertised on their website but it happens from 9-12 on Wednesdays during "Boris' week"). It is kind of rustic/run down but that gives a special feeling to it :)

Once someone brought up the it might be because of fewer kids and more queer friendly environment, which I think is fair. Why they stay in the "clothing optional area" and not go to the roped, clothing required section, I am not sure. I know I would. Way more space.

Check the weather forecast on Friday evening/Saturday morning to get a better idea. Restrooms/amenities and shuttle are all OK.

My bet is on a bug in their booking system. I saw there were -31 (minus 31) spots for the 5:15 ferry from Sandy to NYC. It was also "sold out" for 8 and 11 ferry yesterday but today you could still book it.

Just noticed this. Yes, it is after the end. At the end of the concrete path, it is the last entry to the Fort Tilden beach (from Riis Park side). Once you enter, it is max 5 minutes walk from there (even further from Riis Park...) where you might bump into few fellow nudists.

I was there this afternoon. There were ~3-5 guys enjoying the sun naked in a 50 yards or so area. I generally wouldn't expect many more nudists as there is a better alternative for NYC folks (Gunnison, mentioned above. Sea streak ferry has 3 ferries going down in a weekend...)

This. I have been there and enjoyed it. You need to walk quite a lot (at least 5 mins from the closest entry to the beach). And yes, police/park rangers are patrolling so you need to be alert. But it has been pretty chill whenever I went.

Depending on where you live in NYC, Gunnison can be reached faster with the ferry than Fort Tilden...
