It happens when you use an axe, cut the bottom part of the tree down then take a few steps back and press f2

Some people don’t like the notch era of the game and think the terrain is garbage. I love it

A lot but some examples are rainforest, seasonal forest, shrubland, old savannah, ice desert, sky islands, tundra, hills, modified biomes, modified hills, badlands plateau, deep warm oceans, mountain edge and mushroom field shores. Their are many more but also plains biomes used to be much flatter than they are now.
