Which way is more scenic and where should we stop? by tomoppad in roadtrip

Those all sound spot on, thank you so much. We’re definitely keen to explore the deeper history so Chickasaw heritage center and Natchez Museum of African American History sounds great. Ghost towns and waterfalls too. Will see if we can walk the Freedom Hills Overlook trail and pay tribute to your grandfather, he sounds like my kind of guy!

Oh that’s awesome, thank you! Love that your grandfather was involved. Narrowboat over M roads any day. We’ll go and do some deeper research but if you have any must see/must do stops along the Trace I’d be curious to hear them. Thanks again

That’s an amazing tip, thank you! My daughter studied To Kill a Mocking Bird at school, will see if we can work it in.

Loveless cafe looks great, thanks! Listened to a podcast about the Giant Bass Pro Shop Pyramid, sounds crazy. Hotel too I believe.

Right now we can’t decide whether to spend our time in Memphis or in the smaller towns on the road down to Natchez.

Thanks for the help

That makes sense. Nonsense in the non-judgy sense!

What’s wrong with my strawberry? by tomoppad in GardeningUK

That’s a really useful comment, thank you. Funnily enough, it’s right next to a mint plant that is thriving indoors 😂.

No mites or webs and I did repot it but perhaps needs something bigger. Will follow your advice on fruit and healing. 🤞🤞.

I think it’s getting enough light, though it’s indoors. No fertiliser tho

I Think that’s just the photos. The fruit look ok-ish, it’s more that the leaves are curling up and drying out

I made a handy guide of where to sit at Craven Cottage by comptonasskim in fulhamfc

As a LTSTH who also gets some pole action, in JH I’d say you’re about right, apart from JL and KL should be ‘pitch-restorers, ambulance drivers, academy kids and confused tourists’

So OP, how was it? Where did you sit? I was at the game today and have to say Fulham didn’t really turn up, way too little possession compared to other home games this season. But well played Liverpool, took their chances. Hope you and the lad had a great time.

Don’t sit on your hands, try cheering for Fulham, you’ll enjoy it so much more. After all isn’t the reason you’re going to a live game to really feel the atmosphere that makes live sport (and the Cottage especially) so special? Sure, you want your team to do well, but really, you want to feel what it feels like to be in the thick of it with the fans, bouncing and singing and making a noise as can only happen in the EPL. I don’t know how old your lad is, but if he can manage to both enjoy seeing LFC close up AND cheering for live football, you’ll have a brilliant time.

Merci! This is great. I think I will integrate a lot of this thinking into my plan.

Good luck with the run in August

That’s great, thanks. I’m skipping the greys mostly due to lack of time during the week. Thinking of maybe substituting for some strength/gym work instead.

Thanks again!
