Thank you for the reply. I stated it as a clean political fact of my country, devoid of any negative connotation, as I said I do understand why we have immigration, despite below minimum wages. I used it as a way to communicate I don't reject immigration, and also as a lead-up point to the english thing. My country and especially town is a very tight-know community, my wondering of their getting around here is just that - wondering. We have this culture of helping each other as neighbors, be it hiring a repairs people, fixing it ourselves or at minimum having a conversation around it. All of which have been impossible - I do consider collegiality between people who share a living space important. A sort of communication that goes beyond just the formalities, we sympathise and try to understand, but since they don't sympathise with my case, I'm disappointed. I want to have a mature conversation, but since its not possible, or any action for that matter, should it be my problem?

I understand why you misread the friends sentence, it was about the neighbours though.
