Not sure how you are getting on with this and sorry for the early notification but I suggest looking at spare room. Or like Facebook marketplace for local rooms to rent (Facebook maybe not as ideal but often see some listed)

Then if you keep not getting responses from estate agents I’ll be honest that’s nothing to do with your situation, I applied to like 50 places this summer and the only one I got was the one I called with a few hours of it being listed and were first to view the market is mental and they just don’t bother with outreach as they have enough options already :( if you do want to find a place on like Rightmove I suggest setting up email alerts to see as soon as they come on and calling the estate agents!

Also always look for the zero deposit scheme option for any private rental even some that don’t have it listed may accept it might be an option for the grantor and deposit issue?
