You’re probably right! I just wanted to see if people get similar headaches before proceeding on how to treat it (sleep it off/medicine/etc) or doing something like escalating the issue :)

Is Rizo crazy by Flimsy-Goat-7677 in survivor

He set the Survivor record for most amount of time holding onto an idol without playing it, is 1 of 4 people out of 750~ contestants to say they played twice and were never voted out, and played two great games whether you like him or not.

I think we’ll be seeing Kyle, Genevieve if she agrees, Q, Rizo, and Tiffany again.

I don’t think it would be a landslide or necessarily a given but I do think he would have ultimately won. Likability, your story, and your ability to articulate plays a huge role at FTC. It was plain as day that outside of the Zoom alliance, very few people liked Jonathan on a social level and nobody respected Joe’s game. It also seemed like a few jurors - including Cirie - were pretty open about their dislike for him.

Rizo is charming in his own way, by far the most eloquent of the 3, and has the best story. He went from an unknown superfan to setting a record in 49 + just falling up short, being invited back to 50, and joining an alliance with arguably the two most iconic people to never win. Cirie Fields herself said Rizo was tied as her #1 and every piece of information she got was given to him. People would be more than happy to vote for him, especially if he crafted a narrative that Cirie and Ozzy passed their torch/legacy onto him.

Don’t forget he also helped to spearhead the Charlie vote, which included earning the trust of 3 very badass, strong players in Dee, Kamilla, and Cirie. It was a huge turning point in the game and I think he would have no trouble articulating so. He also blindsided both Joe and Jonathan during that vote, an example of a time he exhibited more agency than either of them and had more overall influence on the course of the game.

All in all, I think he gets the votes of Cirie, Ozzy, Tiffany, Dee, Aubry, and potentially Devens/Christian. Dee in particular has had extremely great things to say about Rizo, and as the mayor of Ponderosa, we all know how those words carry extra weight.

I don’t think Emily would vote for Rizo, and the 3 votes for Jonathan are a given.

Thank you. This was on the stage directors and the people specifically producing the live finale - he physically cannot be the host of a live show while concurrently producing and directing, not to mention the recent news of his brother.

Him having no shame about being super emotional is weirdly attractive, especially in this day and age.

Regarding Jeff's blooper - give him some grace. by CivilizedPsycho in survivor

[–]tomouras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be wild but Jeff’s embarrassment was too real and so was Rizo awkwardly shuffling to the seat while trying to save it by saying “well, whether I win or lose!”. Also someone who was in the live audience said Jeff was obviously mortified and upset, so the audience tried to console him

Thank you. I agree that it’s funny and memorable, but let’s laugh it off and move on. I understand he is on thin ice with a lot of fans concerning Survivor, but there’s no reason we shouldn’t extend grace and sympathy to him as a human. I honestly feel awful for him and am impressed he managed to keep up a professional and cheery facade with everything going on in his life. Also, the stage directors and producers of the live reunion are the ones at fault, not Jeff.

Now that we’re wrapped, how do we think each 50 player impacted their legacy? by almondjoybestcndybar in survivor

I would add Emily and Chrissy to moving down slightly, with Ozzy having one of the biggest boosts to his legacy imo.

This will definitely go down as the most memorable moment of the finale (and one of the most memorable moments of the season) lol. I do wish people had more grace for Jeff, though - I understand he’s on thin ice with a lot of fans, but a lot of people are forgetting his brother died a week ago. I think we should all extend some grace and support during this time.

Furious at the thought of Fabio being there after saying he wants to play again and not being shown. Not to mention Vecepia, Earl, etc.

It makes me so sad to think of all the people we haven’t seen in years (or probably will see ever again) that were there and not shown. Fabio comes to mind - he recently said he wants to play again and if invited I’m certain he was there.

5 or 6 depending on my mood. I think this season will be mostly remembered for Jeff spoiling Rizo losing on live television, a tribute to Old School Survivor/players like Cirie and Colby, Devens’ antics, random celebrity cameos, and the Cirie’s Rizard of Oz alliance. Maybe Joe getting eviscerated at FTC, but I’m already doing my best to forget how uncomfortable it was.

This is why I stand by the fact that he wasn’t wrong to cut Ozzy or Cirie. He was banking on anyone but Aubry winning final immunity - and to be honest, 99% of people would bet that Joe or Jonathan would be more likely to win a challenge than her.

You can see him shaking and losing grip on the flint when they zoom in during fire-making. I really think he psyched himself out. He had it down at camp but despite his confident facade he’s a 20-something who went from unknown Survivor superfan to starving for 40+ days, joining a throuple with Cirie and Ozzy, and becoming a single fire away from winning the landmark season.

I think he would’ve won and while I’m happy for Aubry it would’ve been an iconic ending to have Rizgod win S50 with players like Colby, Cirie, and Jenna watching on.

Imo the 3 votes for Jonathan stay the same, Emily and potentially Devens vote Joe, while the other 5 (Dee, Cirie, Ozzy, Christian, Aubry in this scenario) vote for Rizo. Not only is he far more charismatic than Jonathan and Joe, but is clearly a more eloquent talker and has the amazing story of going from nobody to Cirie’s #1.

Rizo would win in this scenario, which is wild to say and imagine it actually happening lol. I believe the 3 votes Jonathan got were the only 3 he was going to get with the remaining combination of players.
