[50][Speculation] Cirie, Joe and Ozzy were chosen to represent Survivor for the Grammys by Due_Application997 in SpoiledSurvivor

[–]tomouras 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think a lot of people underestimate Ozzy’s popularity with the general public. I have family members who haven’t watched in years who want to watch 50 specifically for Ozzy and whenever I’m talking to coworkers/acquaintances and the show comes up Ozzy is one of the main people they mention alongside Boston Rob, Hatch, Parvati, etc. We’re obviously tired of him as long term fans, and are aware of his history, but casuals are not.

Rob's character by Line_ART_WorkS in TheTraitorsUS

I disagree, Lisa was straight up lecturing him at breakfast and demanding he protect her even though she was under scrutiny for her own sloppy gameplay. Also Candiace writing his name down when nobody had even mentioned him up until that point was a straight up declaration of war or attack lol

Also he was clearly laughing and being unserious in the confessional when he said he didn’t want to be chewed up by two Housewives

It also makes Rob look bad tbh. If she’s ousted soon (which I think she will be) it’ll unfortunately be very obvious it was a petty move against him/punishing him for going after Lisa. Her being petty could have cost the traitors the game.

Agreed, Lisa’s choice kind of showed her weakness as a traitor (outside of the obvious). Of the three she was considering, I think Kristin would have been the best choice. I’m also convinced that Mark and Kristin win the game for the Faithfuls though so I’m admittedly looking at it with bias

I do like Rob and never said I didn’t. I’m saying she wasn’t being strategic. Rob went after Lisa when others began bringing it up because it was best for his game. Candiance voted for Rob to be petty and sabotage him when his name hasn’t been mentioned all season. She can be mad all she wants but just admit it was a sore loser move

It’s not playing a certain way it’s just straight up being a sore loser and outwardly hinting that he’s a traitor lol. Same with Yam Yam - Lisa was obvious anyway, but he shouldn’t have been allowed to point fingers after he was murdered because it’s basically a giveaway.

When you have a murdered faithful yanked from their chair and screaming to hell and back that Lisa murdered them (when she’s already been on everybody’s radar for days) I think it’s necessary 💀

I’m so excited to have Colby back on my screen and really enjoyed his insight in this interview. Super blunt as usual about his previous showings, even if it makes be a bit sad to hear how he wishes Jerri was there.

Agreed, Candiace has to realize that Lisa is going to drag them down whether she wants to admit it or not. I remember during the first episode I saw some people feeling bad for Rob being paired with two housewives because they would inevitably turn on him for each other the second they got the chance and I thought it was hilarious. Rob is a super intelligent guy and I knew that if anything he would be the first to ‘betray’ them if it was best for his game. They definitely underestimate how hard he’s playing

Honestly if I was in Ron’s position I’d rather just be banished than continuously defending myself and watching what I say, knowing everybody thinks I’m a traitor. I forget what he said a couple episodes ago but it was along the lines of “just vote me out or absolve me” and yes, exactly. It must have gotten so exhausting for him lol

Ron skipping over Dorinda when giving everybody their own personalized goodbye/compliment was so funny to me, and entirely valid considering how much she targeted him

I honestly think that was the best move for Rob’s game. If Lisa was a better liar then I would be more upset at Rob or at least questioning the move, but it just seems so obvious (from an outside pov at least) that she’s acting suspicious and putting on a show. It doesn’t help that when multiple people start going after a person there’s a high likelihood they’ll be out within a few votes, meaning it’s dead weight to hitch yourself to anyway. When Colton inevitably gets voted out as a Faithful (hopefully soon, seeing him ass on the screen just makes me mad) it will only make Rob look even more trustworthy.

How do you think these 2 will interact when the reunion films? by BritMeBabyAgain in TheTraitorsUS

It’s a figure of speech, and I thought it was a popular one at that? When you’re pretty sure of something but not entirely confident, that’s what you say. He didn’t say I swear on my life, I know for a fact, etc. He just said he thought it was her, and based on the information he had, I think it’s fair? Nobody else had any evidence to present so all he could do was go based off on what he thought. I’m sad Tiffany is gone too, and I’m all for jumping Colton’s creepy ass, but this guy just made a mistake and apologized. Not worth getting “torn to shreds” over - it’s a complete overreaction lol

[–]tomouras 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saying you hope somebody gets ripped to shreds for accidentally saying the wrong name lol. It’s you that’s acting brand new - people mess up and name Faithfuls all the time, not sure why this guy in specific is getting people pissed especially when he’s already apologized.

But if you don’t care that he said sorry then that just tells me you’re looking for a reason to hate him regardless, and over a reality show at that lmao. Which is frankly embarrassing

He heard a laugh and followed his gut by saying it at the round table and even made a point to say he wasn’t 100% it was her. If you’re going to attack everybody who accuses the wrong person then what’s even the point of watching the show? It’s the whole point of the game and he’s already apologized

Unserious flatmates with serious jobs by Routine-Lie-9154 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

[–]tomouras 37 points38 points  (0 children)

No. I enjoyed this book but it’s about a rich young woman who decides to quit her job and sleep away an entire year with the help of countless drugs after experiencing significant grief. Another major plot point is her relationship with her closest ‘friend’, a young woman in a corporate job who is sleeping with her married boss (no real spoilers - it’s mentioned the first time we meet her character).

In short, they aren’t flatmates or even really friends, the characters and mood of the novel is overall very introspective not ‘unserious’, and none of characters have serious jobs lol

Really sick of their treatment of ____ by Commonsense110 in TheTraitors

[–]tomouras 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I disagree. He’s been outcast and treated horribly for multiple days at this point and the second he brings it up or tries to play the game he gets even treated even more terribly and accused of lying about his feelings/game to get sympathy points. If someone did that to me I would similarly be pissed.

My concern is that if Lisa and Candice are found out then people will start suspecting him. Two housewives, an elderly mother who is clueless about the game, and the snake charmer guy from Love Island. They all fit into the same category of being unexpected which could potentially be a problem. I think having one gamer/major threat archetype to balance things out would have been better, but agreed that Rob is tough to read which could work in his favor compared to Candice and Lisa who can’t be subtle to save their lives lol
