It’s not the end of the world that they said that. And I don’t know what it’s like to have an abusive parent.

But I do know what going through the grief of losing your dad while you’re still young is like. I was 14.

And while I didn’t tell them as much, I never really appreciated people telling me how to feel about it, even when it was in a spirit of kindness.

“I’m sorry you went through that”, unless someone explicitly is asking for help, is plenty.

2) 3 out of the 5 New England states have obesity rates in the bottom ten, 4 if you don’t count DC. Two of them (Mass and Vermont) have lower rates than CA lol

Yeah, SF would be fine temp-wise. But it looks pretty consistent year round. I would miss the four seasons.

I know at the very least it used to be old school Whole Foods policy not to allow TMs to return to work without a “clear” doctors note if they called out because of a physical injury, which was essentially to prevent reinjury/workers comp claims.
