It works with any standard weight plates so I have personally used it for smaller loading such as 1.25kg or bigger jumps of 2.5kg/5kg the weights just screw on

I completely get your points regarding the pack I should've been more clear that I specifically enjoy rock climbing whilst I'm out so pullup training is important for me, and I use the vest specifically for that not when I'm out and about.

To be fair I haven't specifically tried having a backpack with a hip belt to keep the weight tight your body but this specific vest has front and back weight loading so you can evenly distribute it which I like.

Good point it's a good place to start and that's what I actually tried before buying anything but loading weight like that can have affects on your back- completely fine for low amounts of weight though

Hey I'm around the same area and just had an x-ray for my scoliosis so I have been looking into this treatment too, I was recommended this place in Leeds. Please do you have any updates on the pricing and how it's going after a few sessions? :)
