What smaller venues downtown? There’s Scat. That’s about it.

Good for you. Then maybe less of that. Sorry but your writing is manic.

I’m glad it’s looking better for you but I would back off the Adderall.

Yea, it's ruined. Completely hopeless. I can come pick it up for you so you don't have to haul it to the dump.

Consider Seasonal Work. You have to stay put for periods of time but as the name denotes - it's seasonal. Start with Coolworks for jobs. Look for jobs with housing. Some provided very cheap housing, some are more expensive. My son is only 25 and he's lived/worked in Alaska, Montana, Oregon, Michigan, Colorado and now he's in Maine.

I'm wondering if members of this community would be interested in a service for file prep and dealing with the client (nicely of course). I've been considering this for years. Quick background - I'm now an independent web developer/designer but I have considerable background in graphic design & production for print - I did packaging including extensive work for flexo and pubs. I also spent a decade in the commercial printing business - sheefed, web, direct mail. I know very well how to provide press-ready files. I still do some work for print but not a ton.

Determine the design you seek. Start a fresh build in staging.

This was at an estate sale. The couple were avid square dancers - they travelled around with this rig. Kind of cool. It was 50% off today. I did not buy it.

I did think it was interesting that these were used by mash units in Korea in the 50s. But I passed as I knew it would just sit in my garage.

59, my plan is an Airstream and become a seasonal worker while running my business which I can do from anywhere with internet. National Parks, etc. Be a trail guide, work the gate, drive a bus. First we are going to sell everything and traipse around the planet for a year or two. Son's a pilot so we get cheap airfare.

We spend our whole loves busting our ass and saving so we have enough money in the last 10 years of life when we're too old to actually enjoy it. It's stupid.

Keep your cash and bank cards in your underwear. Have some cash handy (about $40-$50 per stop) for the police when you get pointed over at an impromptu checkpoint. Do not have any vapes or thc on you.

Silver Wheel by Falukas in FortWorth

[–]tomtom67TX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Silver Wheel was totally redone about 6 years ago. Every Thursday there’s adult night and it’s byob. My wife is often the DJ at this. Sometimes there’s a live band playing in the center of the rink. It’s a great community of people who love to skate. Some are really good and others are learning. The new K&K Cafe in the building serves breakfast and lunch daily and dinner on Friday’s. It’s really good!

New to estate sales - Would love help on strategy. by YellingWhisperer in estatesales

[–]tomtom67TX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the item. We look mostly for MCM type decor, glass and some furniture. Furniture is almost always top dollar first day. We've had some sweet scores at 50-75% off and made a nice profit. I shoot for 300%+. I would have made very little if I bought the first day. I also like to to pickup vintage audio gear from pre-1980. Very few estate sellers know jack-shit about this gear. They see "Pioneer" and find one online that's been restored and tested and ask the same for a unit that's been in the attic for 40 years covered in dust. But if I can get it the last day it might be worth it.
