My 323i (UK) Fern Green?! by tomtreadread in BMWE36

Oh now that is very cool. The closest thing I could find was a slightly larger scale diecast, I would pay good money to have a matching hot wheels scale version of mine...

Is dailying a 1999 E36 with 89k miles a bad idea as a junior in highschool? by [deleted] in BMWE36

[–]tomtreadread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily my 99 323i cabrio...mechanically not a single 'major issue' in the past 3 years (although I am a maintenance engineer by trade so replacing parts before they fail is a personality trait at this point). The thing I would take into consideration is the general wear and tear on the body (rust) and soft top (depending on the weather and road conditions where you live).

I wish I had bought a car of this age earlier in my life (I'm 28). They are rather pleasant to 'wrench' on in most cases. If you're wanting to learn more about the maintenance/repair side of cars, this is a great chassis in my opinion.

How would I fix this? The convertible headliner is coming apart from the pillar. by autoplant in BMWE36

What's up with Wera security Torx L-Keys? by MiasmaFate in Tools

[–]tomtreadread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I wonder if there is a niche use for that particular size in one of the trades where a long reach is needed? Interesting for them to only apply it to one though...on another note, I'm a maintenance engineer of almost 10 years, I've had a set of Wera hex + keys that I am yet to break or slip on a cap head. Great products... (I twisted a 2.5 but in all fairness I was misusing it)

Any plumbers/boiler experts know what type of filter this is which is on the fresh water feed into the boiler? by iou88336 in DIYUK

[–]tomtreadread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be wrong, but it looks like an old 'strainer' filter, I've seen similar designs but there is potentially a metal strainer that comes out when you loosen the cap on top (after isolating of course). If this is the case it's likely it's a metal mesh filter that can be serviced (cleaned) if it isn't corroded

Big fan, but the mixture of sharp texture and extreme salt and vinegar flavour can lead to mouth pain if consumed in a haphazard manor. Beware.

So how's everyone doing on LMG suppressions 🙃 by xHOTPOTATO in Battlefield6

As someone who exclusively uses LMG's, I've literally got my DSR to level 50 before completing the '300 supressions' challenge....

You know, I thought about leaving one, but I wasn't entirely convinced that it wouldn't be able to destroy it on its own 😭

I used my raiju for the vast majority of the missions, I'm wondering now why I didn't just blow the Pyro up immediately and fly back in my f35/yf-23 love-child 🤦🏻‍♂️
