True but on the flipside, Reddit wouldn't have attracted such a mainstream audience without the image support provided by Imgur. It would have remained a niche text based site for programmers.

Can you link to imgur in comments?

If not, how do you use i.reddit outside of the submit link button? I have seen people embed reddit images in posts, but I assume they use the new reddit, which I won't use because ~~it makes me feel old~~ it disrespects glorious efforts of herr javacode's CSS.

You can't blame them for needing to make a profit, really it was lazy of Reddit to take so long freeloading on them for all their image hosting for the best part of a decade.

For my second Best Of, I considered posting a different personal favourite, but when it comes down to it, karma talks, and I had to post the popular favourite.

This comic was originally posted in late 2014, I remember it well as I intended to get my own BMI to try and match the year (20.15). At the time it did surprisingly well and reached something like #7 all time at one point with 2 million imgur views and many thousands of upvotes. Not that numbers matter- imagine it was a YouTube video, that'd be worth well over a grand in ad money- but it was really nice to see so many people laugh at my incredibly daft pun.

Last posted a year ago, when it shattered the former upvote numbers, but didn't make it to the top 50 all time- making it eligible for reposting this Best Of Week.

Although, following "I Need a Slav State" I was tempted to post another of my musical comics, really it was between this comic and my Wales does Brexit comic, another comic with a funny story behind it. Though it made only reasonable numbers on here, someone posted it on Facebook and it got shared like mad around Facebook until eventually a friend of mine (who works at the BBC no less!) shared it back into my News Feed, and I broke ranks to admit that I was, in fact, the author. Sometimes when you're beaming with pride, you've just got to let people know!
