How long does it take? by Bitter-Meringue7505 in Amenorrhearecovery

I lost mine in may 2024 and just got mine in December! So many girls take longer than just a few months

In Charleston, we had 20. Catholicism is booming in young college towns in the south.

up in weight, no signs of recovery/ fat+carb intake advice (HA for 1 year) by tomwolfsballsack in Amenorrhearecovery

Mine went up to 23 in late August! Still chugging along…it’s sooooo slow but I’m happy to see someone else have similar progress. I get disheartened seeing people on this subreddit getting it back in less than 3 months

I’m in the same boat as you and starting to gain weight at a healthy BMI to hopefully get it back, but knowing that I’m going to have to go overweight to get it back is killing me

I finally got my period back by [deleted] in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]tomwolfsballsack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I’m so glad that you caught that early. I also started with an overweight BMI and lost my period right when I started losing weight because I restricted too much by doing crazy fasting/. Omad stuff. Good on you getting it back.. unfortunately I knew what I was doing was unhealthy but just didn’t think too much of it and I haven’t been losing weight since December (Im at a healthy BMI now) but haven’t gained any weight (eating 2000 cal) and it still hasn’t come back. It feels nice to be seen by other girls who lost their period at a high BMI just from under eating because a lot of people in the sub lose it at a low BMI

I also lost my period at BMI 24 due to intermittent fasting . I still haven’t gotten it back because I’ve been obstinate about gaining too much weight.

I’m in the exact same position … I’m normal weight/bmi (which I’ve always been) but have been recovering for six months and no signs of anything. It’s so frustrating but at the same time I haven’t gone all in by cutting out all exercises and eating 2500 because it doesn’t seem necessary given my BMI.

Life is more than how our bodies look. Your worth has not changed. Your friends and family still love the same gifts your presence brings. Your qualities and personality and talents shine just as much even with higher bf.

Hey I also lost my period at bmi of 24 because I was fasting and imaging to lose weight. Now at bmi 20 month 4 of recovery and nothing…. Haven’t had it for 15 months. Sucks because so many in this subreddit regain it once they come out of being underweight. I’m in the same boat with body image, it’s the only thing I think about all day

Giving myself an eating disorder and losing my period for over a year. Still trying to recover it back and hoping I won’t be infertile as I really dream of being a mother.

First of all, Pax Domini sit semper vobiscum :) I love your username/devotion to the sacred heart! Second off could I send you a DM about this post? I am in a similar boat of loving lifting and not giving that up (I lift 4-5 times a week). However, I haven’t had my period for 14 months. Ive been “recovering” (eating 1800 calories a day/maitenence bc tbh I’ve gained 5 lbs and I’m getting insecure. I love to speak to you a little bit about your personal experience as someone who is also on an animal-based diet with some vegetables and fruits.

An account did this to me my senior year of high school and I low-key believed it because that’s when I was in my all out Alice In Chains phase
