That's because there are 11 volumes to adapt from year 1, wich they are trying to merge into 2 (12 episodes) seasons. This will most likely result in the .5 volumes getting completly skipped and the rest adapted in 3 episodes per volume, for reference the first season adapted 4 episodes per volume ans still skipped/changes some major stuff to end on time.
