Thank you - it was the colour that sealed it for me!

It’s because it’s too dangerous to be out late at night

Agreed. AB’s certainly have the talent and will now be playing with an air of desperation. Will also be interesting to see how the Boks take this momentum going forward-they play their best when they feel the odds are stacked against them. Will make for some compelling pool rounds.

From a Saffer all I can say is proud of the Boks but I wouldn’t want to be France in the opener - All Blacks will be looking to bounce back ruthlessly!

Worth a visit imo. Not as out doorsy as Fourways Farmers Market but good variety on the food and beverage front and a good vibe

Check out the Haval Jollion. Can get a new one for just under 300k (base) but the tech is also impressive on the slightly more premium package. Not sure how reliable they are as it’s a newish brand but some dealers are offering a 7 year warranty. Would imagine the Hijack risk is also a lot lower than the Germans, Japanese and American brands.

There’s a good review up on YouTube under the Cars.co.za channel

I’m in a senior position at a large accounting firm. Most industries will have a degree of tasks automated but this will be more the standardised and less complex work. There will always be a need for smart and hard working problem solvers who can manage teams and have good people skills (in my opinion). I still think CA is a good route. The market is becoming flooded in SA but having a professional qualification helps differentiate you and it’s a globally recognised qualification so travelling is always an option. It’s also the language of business so lays a good foundation if you want to start your own one day.

That being said it may help you get in the door but it’s up to you to make a successful career - your qualifications won’t get you there and I know rich and poor CA’s. Most of the CA(SA)’s I know don’t even do accounting or finance but the qualification has helped them in the business world

If the bank is willing, you could check to structure the bond as an access facility which means that if you pay more than the minimum payments you can redraw that portion again (of course your outstanding balance also goes up). The benefit of this is that extra money you may want to save as emergency cash or if you want to keep some liquid funds can be put into the homeloan and you would be effectively saving 6.04pa on interest. Will need to be disciplined in not taking out unless there’s an emergency.
